Calling all Service Technicians!!!

Due to continued growth, we currently have an opening for an experienced Petroleum Service Technician. The Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and service of automotive, electronic, hydraulic and/or mechanical petroleum equipment and products (i.e. Gilbarco, Veeder-Root, Passport, EVO) as applicable. Reporting to the Corporate Service Manager, this position will focus on project work across the country! This position requires full-time travel for up to 2 weeks at a time, followed by an extended weekend. We provide service vans for our technicians to start their day from home and cover travel expenses. Candidates must be self-starters that can operate independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots, performs repairs and preventative maintenance to fueling systems.

  • Monitors and is accountable for accuracy of parts inventory on service van including, but not limited to, transfers of parts to appropriate jobs and other service techs as applicable as well as returns to warehouse facilities.

  • Analyzes electronic and mechanical problems and provide repairs as required.

  • Installs, programs and tests new equipment

  • Communicate with customers and explain technical issues to non-technical people.

  • Present yourself professionally as a representative of Seneca Companies and be prompt when making service calls.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in service station/fueling equipment repair.

  • Certification in Gilbarco, Wayne, or Franklin Electric dispensers required. Additional certifications in Veeder-Root, EVO, Gasboy or Fuelmaster preferred.

  • Electrical knowledge and excellent mechanical abilities.

  • Ability to operate mechanical equipment and machines as described.

  • High school education.

  • Ability to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (vehicle provided)

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position hasprimary responsibility for the install and support of SICK products throughoutNorth America. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide amazingcustomer service by effectively managing customer expectations. * Introduce, implement,and support various LifeTime Service programs. * Build supportstructures and populate with SICK equipment. Technician will beable to create equipment configuration files and make changes on their own. * Perform Site Surveysfor the installation of SICK Equipment. This entails data gathering of the areathat a unit or system is to be installed, completion on a questionnaire, andpreparing customer for pending installation. * Provide accurate andtimely service reports, time cards, and travel expenses. * Attend requiredtraining sessions as assigned * Carry out otherduties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS: Education andExperience * Two year college degree, technical school or equivalentwork experience required. Four yearcollege degree is preferred. * Minimum of 4 - 7 years of prior field service experiencewithin the process automation industry is required. * Technician experience in a similar or related industry (oil& gas, power generation, cement, marine/off-shore) is acceptable in lieu ofa field service role, if the primary responsibilities included the maintenance,repair and/or annual certification of gas analyzers (extractive and in-situ),emissions flow & dust monitors, gas flow meters, liquid analyzers, andflare gas flow monitors. * Preference will be given for experience with the associatedSICK line of products, GE / Panametrics Flare Flow, and the commissioning /start-up of such systems Other Qualifications * This is a travel position and will require domestic andinternational travel upwards of 85% of time. * Strong communication, organizational and interpersonalskills. * Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), IBM Notes(Lotus Notes), Web browsers & internet based applications. * Experience with a variety of communications software tools& protocols.
