As a PetSmart Pet Trainer, you'll take part in our Pet Training Instructor Accreditation Program to learn proven techniques developed by leading dog trainers. When you complete the course, you'll emerge as a trusted Accredited Dog Trainer specializing in dog behavior and learning theory.

Upon completion, you'll be hands-on with pets and leading our Pet Training Programs. Through our broad range of class programs, you will:

  • Teach classes to a variety of dog breeds, sizes and ages

  • Lead each class with an emphasis on the safety and comfort for pets and pet parents

  • Show patience to pet parents when training their very excited puppy

  • Guide pets through our NEW (retail's first ever) Pet Therapy Training Program

  • Have a lot of fun.

  • Build strong bonds with all two legged and four legged members of your class!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Assists in the development of all Table Game and Electronic Table Game training manuals, training guides and training validation materials in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, internal controls and regulations. * Assists in the development of all Table Game electronic systems (Konami, Resort Advantage, etc.) training manuals, training guides and training validation materials in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, internal controls and regulations. * Plan and facilitate training programs either instructor-led or on-the-job, including check lists, job aids, and other materials. * Ensure that training is completed in a consistent manner to ensure that all participants receive all of the correct information and procedures. * Ensure that the dealer training is ran in a manner that exemplifies our core values, meets established quality standards and are in compliance with applicable regulations and requirements. * Provides Management regular feedback on the status and progress of each student in in training. * Coach Team Members and students to perform at their best, resolve performance problems and provide regular and constructive performance feedback. * Maintain a high level of accessibility with client casino gaming management and dealer staff. * Assess and rate dealer skills in a variety of areas. * Keep accurate reports of dealer assessments and evaluations, including training needs assessment tracking, dealer performance assessment logs, and other reports as deemed necessary. Report based on both in-person and surveillance tape review based observations. * Ensure that dealers have the proper tools and training to effectively and safely perform their jobs. * Provide strong leadership to cultivate an environment where dealers demonstrate pride, commitment to their profession and to their casino, teamwork and core values. * Other tasks may include regularly recognizing dealer staff for a job well done, writing performance evaluations, counseling staff, resolving dealer team member concerns on a timely basis, etc. * Ensure the dealer staff is aware of all safety and asset protection procedures and uses safe work practices. * Promotes positive public/team member relations at all times * Performing other duties as requested or assigned. Requirements: * Equivalent to a high school diploma with knowledge of game and dealing techniques. * Must have at least 3 years dealing experience * At least 2 years of management-level experience in the gaming industry on a casino floor; and at least 6 months of training dealers experience preferred. * Must possess a detailed knowledge of all table games and electronic table games operated at the casino * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power Point * Ability to develop effective written communications. * Experience with accepted adult learning theory methodologies to effectively facilitate. * Experience with continuous improvement methods. * Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff or guests and other Team Members of the organization. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. * Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations * Ability to communicate with Team members and guests * Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process * Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing Rivers Casino Pittsburgh PA
