Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for walking and socializing dogs under general supervision.
The hourly pay for this position is $14.20/hour. Please note that the pay rate provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
SCHEDULE: 20 hours/week. Shifts are 4-5 days a week, either 4 or 5 hours/day depending on the chosen scheduled. Hours are typically in the morning between 6:30 AM - noon. Days can vary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Knowledge of and compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and all procedures and protocols in the Nestlé Purina R&D Petcare Manual
Adherence to Nestlé Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Practice safety in the work area
Adhere to policy and procedure regarding sick animals or unusual behavior observed in the dogs
Report to the Supervisor any broken or damaged equipment, item or physical area
Walk and socialize dogs
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively participate in training and skill development as needed
Additional duties as assigned
Care for and monitor growth of pets
SUPERVISION GIVEN AND RECEIVED:
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):
High School Diploma (or GED)
Prefer experience with dogs
Ability to work well independently in a team and across groups
Good interpersonal, communication, organization,
Available to work weekends
