The Position

Personnel Technicians perform a wide variety of personnel activities including personnel records processing, recruitment and examining, new hire orientation, list certification, and payroll support duties.

This recruitment is for a Human Resources Technician III (HRT 3) position, within the Agency Human Resources Services (AHRS) section of the State's Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM). Under the direction of a leave programs supervisor, this position will be primarily responsible for providing guidance, coordinating, processing, tracking, and monitoring leave events for the employees of numerous State agencies. Leave programs include:

FMLA, military leave, catastrophic leave, State paid family leave, etc. The HRA 3 will also be responsible for processing employees, ADA requests for accommodation, tracking workers, compensation and unemployment claims, and assisting with fitness for duty, drug testing, and ergonomic evaluation processes. The ideal candidate will possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform journey-level work in areas of human resource management dictated by state and federal law.
