The Position

Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. This recruitment aims to fill the position of Human Resource Analyst II within the Agency HR Services section of the Division of Human Resource Management, under the Department of Administration.

Operating under the guidance of a Human Resources Officer, the successful candidate will have a range of responsibilities. This position involves leading a team of Analysts who support State agencies with the progressive disciplinary process, necessitating a strong leadership approach and the ability to oversee complex processes. Thorough understanding of NRS and NAC 284, alongside knowledge of various collective bargaining agreements, is essential.

This expertise will inform the determination of disciplinary actions such as oral warnings, written reprimands, suspensions, demotions, and dismissals.
