Position Summary:

The Digital Testing & Personalization Manager will work collaboratively with multiple business units within the organization. This includes Web Strategy, Brand, Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Servicing. The individual should have experience with digital A/B testing and personalization optimization, with the ability to provide guidance and strategic recommendations to the aforementioned groups based on user behavior and testing outcomes.

The individual will be responsible for building, executing and analyzing the impact of website tests and personalization campaigns, ensuring business needs are met while providing great experiences for SLM prospects and customers. He/she must be able to present data-driven findings in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including senior management. The manager will be asked to leverage findings and insights to coordinate with analytical and strategic team members to optimize digital experiences.

The individual must possess strong organizational and analytical skills and work effectively in a dynamic and changing work environment. Communication and prioritization skills are a must, as is the ability to present information, strategy, and recommendations clearly and succinctly.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in A/B, multivariate, and personalization testing. Experience required in leading A/B testing tools such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, etc as well as website analytics tools, especially Adobe Analytics. Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau) a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
60% - Testing Campaign Management

  • Work with key stakeholders to develop testing hypotheses and gather requirements

  • Ensure testing and personalization campaigns are set up properly to deliver planned experiences and provide accurate data collection

  • Build and launch testing and personalization campaigns with the help of designers, front end developers and key stakeholders

  • Monitor campaign tracking and performance

  • Communicate progression of campaigns with key stakeholders and provide recommendations as subject matter expert

  • Develop post-test insights and recommendations to key stakeholders and senior leadership
    30% - Digital Optimization Analysis

  • Execute pre-launch baseline analysis and impact forecasts for project prioritization and business case development

  • Analyze campaign performance mid-flight to identify potential risks and opportunities

  • Discover new opportunities for experience optimization by investigating engagement metrics and segment performance

  • Perform significance and confidence interval analyses

  • Analyze post-campaign results and help provide findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
    10% - Program Refinement & Enhancements

  • Work with A/B testing vendor and agencies to ensure industry best practices are incorporated into testing & personalization practice

  • Identify opportunities for process and workflow improvements

  • Monitor all tests, ensuring for clear controls and no site breakages

Required Qualifications:


  • BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field and/or equivalent experience


  • 1-3 years A/B, MVT and Personalization experience

  • 3-5 years in analytical role

  • Deep experience in A/B testing and personalization tools such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, etc.

  • Experience with Adobe's web suite, including Omniture

  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Agile methodology experience a plus

  • Tag Management knowledge a plus

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to articulate complex analytics

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment

  • Ability to accurately identify issues, implement resolutions, and escalate to management
