This internship is a temporary position within Life Time Healthy Way of Life.

As a Personal Training Intern with Life Time Training, you will assist our members by educating, delivering, and connecting them to our industry leading strategy of the Core 3. The power of Core 3 is our unmatched ability to address all areas of our members' health and fitness needs to achieve optimal results. As an intern of the Life Time Training division, you are able to advance your career in the fitness industry by providing your expertise and gaining experience in the following areas:

CKNOW IT- Comprehensive Assessments

  • Education, testing, and technology to help our members' know how their unique bodies work.
  • (Examples: Lab Testing, Metabolic Assessments, Devices, Activity Monitors)

NOURISH IT- Personalized Nutrition and Lifestyle

  • Professional advice, products and strategies to fuel and enrich our members' healthy way of life.
  • (Examples: Nutrition Coaching, Nutritional Products, Supplements, Registered Dietitians)

MOVE IT- Customized Workouts

  • Activities, events, and programs to keep our members' engaged in healthy and entertaining ways.
  • (Examples: Private Training, Weight Loss, Metabolic Coaching, TEAM Classes, Pilates)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Market services, assess, develop and deliver safe, professional, exciting and comprehensive personal training programs to ensure members are satisfied with their workout program and remain motivated to attain their personal health and fitness goals.

  • Work with mentors to enact strategies to move from prospecting to co-selling Life Time training services.

  • Attend any in-club education sessions with the LT training team.

  • Complete and pass all assigned Life Time University courses.

  • Represent the Life Time Brand & Mission.


Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or GED

Licenses / Certifications/ Registrations

  • Successful completion of Life Time Academy

  • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT):

  • ACE, ACTION, AAPTE, ACSM, CSCCa, Cooper Institute, NASM, NCSF, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, NSCA, PTA Global, LT Academy

  • CPR/AED Certification within 6 months of hire

We have a robust product line and pipeline, and we will continue to make an investment in Interventional treatments. About the role: * By having the highest level of product and procedural expertise, the Area FCTs will be in charge of the hands-on mentorship, education and assessment of SH TCs and SH CSs for the US launch of the Lotus valve. In addition, they will support, when needed, physician trainings, IAS internal trainings, as well as center and physician support for both commercial and clinical trial implants. * The Area FCTs will ensure the new SH TCs and SH CSs are properly trained and able to cover Lotus cases with outstanding clinical outcomes. * Role will cover the Medwest region Your responsibilities include: * Point of contact for the training, coaching, and mentoring of all new hire SH CSs and SH TCs. Jointly with the IC RMs, will be responsible for the successful achievement of the 12 week medical and technical training of the new hires: organizes their 12-week training curriculum, books cases, accompanies them in the cath lab, explains the procedure in the day-to-day, helps in trouble shooting, sets the example in cath lab behavior and physician support, prepares the candidates for the multiple assessments and follows up as a mentor during the future career of the hire within the TAVI structure for technical questions and advice. * Assesses CSs and TCs in the various stages of certification. * Acts as a product and procedural expert in all the training needs for the organization: helps out with theoretical training of the CSs and TCs when needed, is able to fill in for the physician trainings at IAS or on site, steps in when required for the classroom rep training and in general is engaged in all training-oriented activities. * Will support clinical trial cases for future Structural Heart devices/therapies. * Provides feedback to management on the execution of training in the field, pointing out potential areas of improvement, making creative proposals in order to solve issues, with a focus on patient safety and executional excellence as well as continuous improvement and effectiveness. * Interacts with all other stakeholders and especially with sales in a professional manner, never sacrificing patient safety and training quality but with a collaborative mindset understanding the commercial objectives. * Communicates with respect and the authority stemming from technical competence with physicians, cath lab personnel and other HCPs in the hospital environment, enforcing Boston Scientific quality and regulatory requirements. Manages and orients proctors during cases and takes every opportunity to train SH CSs and SH TCs to do the same. * Educates customers on the proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms to keep all customers abreast of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments and current topics of interest in the industry. * Performs clinical and library research when necessary and participates in case reviews and clinical observation by working with physicians and hospital lab staff. * Attends TAVR procedures in the labs and operating room of hospital accounts to assure customer and patient success with the implanted products. * Approximately 75% travel required within a 10 state area as well as some national travel for meetings and tradeshows.
