As a Personal Trainer (PT) at 24 Hour Fitness you will work one-on-one and in small groups with members to help them achieve their fitness goals. Be the spark that inspires someone to keep training, to try harder and to live healthier. We'll help you advance your career through four Personal Trainer levels and access to our network of more than 3 million members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Demonstrate the value of personal training by creating an outstanding personal training experience for new and existing clients

  • Make our clubs easy to use by guiding and educating members and clients on comprehensive fitness programs as well as products

  • Motivate and inspire clients to get results by setting goals, creating customized workout plans and tracking progress

  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients' goals that include appropriate exercise selection and teaching a fitness lifestyle.

Qualifications :

  • Understand the principles of physical fitness and proper exercise technique

  • Able to coach, motivate and inspire members at every stage of their fitness journey

  • Present and sell training and nutritional products

  • Provide exceptional customer service and build a loyal client base

  • Prior Personal Trainer experience is preferred, but not required

Certifications / Educational Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification

  • Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Fitness or related field or an approved Personal Training Certification (listed below):

  • ACSM, ACE, Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research, C.H.E.K, IFPA, NASM, NCSF, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, NSCA, PTA Global, W.I.T.S.

Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing and walking

Work Environment :

  • While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

  • The noise level in the environment is occasionally loud

  • Extended workdays are a frequent occurrence, as are weekends and holidays as needed to support the business

About Transmission and Distribution Southern California Edison's (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 15 million residents via SCE's 5 million customer accounts. Position Overview This position will be in the Technical Design department within Southern California Edison's (SCE) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T&D). The successful candidate will be managing permits in the Central Division. The Permit & Contract Specialist will primarily support the Orange Region. Typical Responsibilities: * Reviewing project plans and construction drawings with planners to identify the permits required to support construction of SCE facilities. * Determining the appropriate internal resources to be utilized to obtain permits. * Communicating with various governmental agencies and other external organizations to obtain favorable permit conditions for the installation of SCE facilities. * Developing and maintaining relationships with permitting staff of the various governmental agencies to ensure accurate application submittals and timely approval of permit requests. * Ensuring permit applications are properly identified and prepared for submittal to permitting agencies. * Submitting permit applications and obtaining approved permits from the responsible permitting agencies. * Acting as a single point of contact for internally and externally generated questions related to permit applications. * Providing approved permits to appropriate project managers or construction personnel prior to start of construction; tracking status of permit applications. * Reporting status of permit applications to all internal stakeholders. * Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Three or more years' of experience in permitting, planning, engineering, construction, inspection, utility Design, and/or project management. * One or more years' of experience reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, plans, maps, blue prints and/or designs. * Must have a valid driver's license. Desired Qualifications * Associates Degree. * Experience identifying the need, applying for, and acquiring construction permits. * Experience interfacing with governmental agencies in order to acquire necessary construction permits. * Experience working within construction timelines and with various construction personnel and clients. * Experience reporting on project status to internal and external stakeholders. * Experience acting as the point of contact for internal and external generated questions. * Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Comments * Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship. * Position will require up to 50% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
