To work with licensed agency providing services to clients utilizing a person-centered approach. Duties include:

  • Provide assistance and training to the recipient in activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and
  • Preparation of meals.
  • When specified in the support plan, this service can also include household chores to make the home safer, such as washing floors, windows, cleaning bathroom and living areas.
  • Services also include non-medical care, and supervision.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be age 18 years or older,
  • have a high school diploma or GED, and have at least one year of verifiable experience working directly with individuals receiving services in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, or childcare setting or working with recipients who have a developmental disability
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Pass level two background screening
  • Complete agency training as mandated
  • Current valid automotive insurance
  • Available to work Monday-Friday 7:00-9:00 AM and 2:30-4:30 PM

VIEW JOBS 4/6/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-07-05T00:00 The Position Under the general direction of the Director and/or Deputy Director, this is a highly responsible position consisting of managerial, administrative and professional engineering work of considerable difficulty, planning, directing, analyzing and coordinating engineering design, construction and construction inspection of municipal engineering projects. This position is responsible for managing engineering division staff and budget. Work is reviewed through conferences and written reports for results obtained. * Provides engineering and project management to the Development Services or Public Utility divisions (stormwater, wastewater, and water services); prepares capital improvement project budgets; prepares cost estimates for complex projects. * Supervises engineers, architects, inspectors, supervisory and technical staff. * Oversees and conducts municipal construction projects. * Reviews reports and makes recommendations; evaluates engineering solutions, and ensures coordination with overall policy. * Works with the Director and senior management to develop policies and procedures and determines direction to be taken as related to timing and processes for capital projects, organizational changes, and system priorities. * Procures consultant services; prepares Requests for Proposal and other procurement documents as needed. Employee assigned to Development Services: * Functions as the City Engineer in his/her absence. * Conducts traffic engineering, transportation planning and surveying activities. * Reviews plats, vacation, easement and related documents for private/public projects to ensure compliance with Federal, State, County and Local statutes. * Plans, directs and conducts traffic surveys, volume analyses, accident analyses and parking surveys. * Oversees and directs concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter and streets resurfacing projects. * Serves as liaison between Federal, State and County officials on transportation and traffic engineering matters. * Acts as City's technical liaison with the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and sits on the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). * Acts as the City liaison with the FDOT on traffic/transportation matters. * Acts as City Liaison with Broward County Traffic Engineering and Broward County Transit Engineering Divisions. * Reviews engineering plans for signal and channelization installations, traffic signal timing schedules and diagrams, and recommends street striping and signage installations. * Determines the need and justification for traffic control devices, parking lot entrances and one-way streets. * Initiates intersection improvement projects, identifies and secures funds to complete such projects. * Reviews site plan and traffic impact studies, conducts traffic engineering studies. * Analyzes traffic problems and provides solutions, advises elected officials and other departments on transportation and traffic issues; provides technical guidance on neighborhood traffic management and implications. * Must effectively and positively represent the City in delivering and performing work with colleagues and clients, irrespective of gender, race, religion, age, disability, political affiliation or belief, or sexual orientation. * Must establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with work colleagues, supervisors and managers. * Performs related work as required. The Requirements REQUIRED: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering with a heavy emphasis on traffic engineering or public utility (stormwater, wastewater, and water services) depending on area of assignment. * Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional municipal engineering experience of which two (2) years must be in traffic engineering or public utility (stormwater, wastewater, and water services) depending on area of assignment PREFERRED: * Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering with a heavy emphasis on traffic engineering or public utility (stormwater, wastewater, and water services) depending on area of assignment. * Five (5) years of experience in traffic engineering or public utility (stormwater, wastewater, and water services) depending on area of assignment. Additional education and experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the above requirements. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: * Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida required * Valid Driver's License: With proof of automobile insurance * Background Check: Must have an acceptable background record * Driving Abstract: Must have an acceptable driving record The Examination Required Education and Background Information: Look over the announcement carefully to determine your eligibility. Please note minimum education and experience requirements. Closed competitive positions are open only to employees while open competitive positions are open to anyone who meets the minimum qualifications for the position. Evidence of a GED test score is required if submitted for high school diploma. Applicants are responsible for clearly documenting work experience and/or providing all relevant information at the time of application. Examination: Depending on the number of applicants and the quality of their education and experience, the examination may consist of one or more of the following tests: written examination, performance examination, education and experience evaluation, oral examination and/or other job related examinations. You will be notified of the time and place of your examination when you file or later by mail. A passing grade is required on each part of the process. Repeated participation in any examination for which the same test is used is limited to once every 6 months. Your examination results will be sent by email as soon as possible after the grading is completed. Final passing grades are used to determine a candidate's position on the eligibility list of successful candidates. Departments fill vacancies from this list. The top three names are considered for each vacancy unless otherwise modified. Those not appointed are returned to the eligibility list for further consideration in accordance with the Civil Service Ordinance. Your name will remain on a register for one year for open competitive examinations and two years for closed competitive except where labor contract conflicts. Your name may be removed from an eligibility list prior to one year according to Hollywood's Civil Service Ordinance or labor contracts. Your eligibility may be canceled if you refuse a position or if you are not available for work. You are responsible for notifying the Employment Office, in writing, of any change in your address or telephone number.
