Personal Lines - Underwriter/ Underwriting Assistant

South Bay Search is partnering with a regional MGA, seeking a E&S Personal Lines Underwriter or Underwriting Assistant. A go getter who wants to put their mark on the world!

Summary of Essential Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining a profitable book of personal lines business.
• Conduct accurate and thorough risk selection through evaluation, classification, and rating to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing.
• Develop and submit underwriting referrals to company brokerage facilities.
• Monitor and achieve business key metrics, including new business hit ratio and renewal retention.
• Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with policies, meet file documentation standards, and maintain underwriting authority level standards.
• Create and maintain external relationships with agents and carriers to provide superior service experience.
• Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.
• Additional unspecified duties may be performed or assigned in accordance with this role.

Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE Minimum 1-5 years of personal lines experience from a carrier, brokerage or agency, including knowledge of homeowners, vacant and excess coverages solutions.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented and organized.

Must be local to Las Vegas, hybrid working schedule
