This sales-oriented position will work hard to secure new clients, using a consultative approach, and will work to enhance the growth and profitability of the agency by being a trusted insurance representative of The Evans Agency within the community.
Important aspects of this job comprise of managing the selling process which includes continuously prospecting for leads, identifying client issues, and providing customized risk management solutions. This will require a proactive sales approach and you must possess the insurance knowledge to determine insurance needs, inspect and evaluate current insurance policies, and review risk management plans. The individual will also identify cross-selling opportunities for products and services for both the agency and the bank.

What We Ask Of You:
Build relationships with others through solid, timely communication and useful information to build credibility
Develop a center of influence to gain referrals from existing accounts, affiliates, and other contacts
Present customized solutions that are on target for personal insurance customers and motivate customers to act.
Appropriately identify and resolve problems by gathering and analyzing information
Conduct the appropriate level of research that enables your advisement to be met with good consideration

Strong organizational skills, great follow through on tasks, ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Experience & Competencies:
Two years of sales experience in sales preferred. Strong preference to candidates with insurance experience
New York State Property & Casualty Brokers License, or obtain within six months of employment.
Proven experience in meeting and exceeding sales goals including necessary negotiating and closing skills
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to build and cultivate solid relationships at all levels
Ability to work under pressure and self-motivated to meet established goals and objectives, even under changing situations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
