Job Summary
Brown & Brown of New York, dba The Spain Agency, is adding to our Personal Insurance Team! We are looking for a PART TIME Assistant to join us. You will support the client servicing efforts of the account managers within the department by providing administrative and general customer service support. You will report to the Personal Lines Team Leader. This is an incredible opportunity to jump start your career in insurance!
This role prefers an in office schedule up to 24 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and review electronic downloads daily.
Queue from carrier website new business, cancellations, non-pay and reinstatement notices.
Policy checking for new business, re-writes and endorsements.
Process endorsement requests as received daily.
Process cancellations, non-pay notices and reinstatements.
Letters for new business, cancellations and lost accounts.
Follow-up to include, checking endorsements, non-pay notices, and cancellations.
Paper document processing-mail received from carriers that do not download.
Enter policy information into system for policies that do not download.
Scanning and other administrative functions.
Follow Agency guidelines, policies and procedures.
Required Skills
High School Diploma, required.
Willingness to obtain or current NY Property & Casualty Brokers License.
1+ year functioning in Personal Lines department at an agency or company level is preferred.
Salary Range
Negotiable, depending on professional experience.
