Personal Care Assistant (Pca)

Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide early intervention classroom support for a local Intermediate Unit.

Perks:

• This is a 1099 Independent contracting position, allowing for greater flexibility.?

• PTS provides consistent on-site and off-site mentorship with Clinical Directors and Team Leaders and EI Mentors.

• Early Intervention and School Based Academy: We provide the support and community that a new School-Based therapist needs to feel comfortable and to be successful.

Responsibilities:

• Support the classroom teacher and all students enrolled in the classroom with personal care needs (such as toileting and diapering) and instructional support

• Assist the BSC in implementing behavioral programming

• Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures

• Demonstrate sound judgment, critical thinking, decision making, and effective time management skills

• Maintain acceptable attendance status, per Agency policy

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Maintain 20 continuing education/training hours per school year

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• Minimum one year experience working with children. Prefer this experience to include working with children (ages 3-5) with special needs.

• Child Abuse, State and Federal Clearances

• Pediatric CPR/First Aid
