The Permitting & Compliance Specialist will play a pivotal role in building out this new compliance function in Wonderful. This position offers a unique opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and grow within an innovated agricultural company. The Permitting & Compliance Specialist works with the Compliance Team to ensure that the organization complies with industry specifications, standards, regulations, and laws. This position will focus on compliance monitoring and reporting in all areas of the company.

This position will be based at our Shafter, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Job Description

• Maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and reporting systems.

• Managing a large database of regulatory requirements for a wide range of permits and licenses and ensuring important deadlines are not missed.

• Completing and documenting regulatory compliance activities through the online compliance software according to regulatory deadlines.

• Completing, documenting, submitting and recording information related to required environmental, health, and safety, other related permitting and compliance reports.

• Providing managers with regulatory information and direction to ensure compliance with external/internal audits and Federal, State, Local environmental and safety regulations.

• Prepare and file reports required by permits and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience providing clear and concise communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with and work well with others in order to manage projects and meetings.

• Demonstrated ability to stay organized and on task with a high consideration to detail.

• Proven executive time management skills and have the ability to meet deadlines.

• Comfortable working in a high pace work environment.

• Experience working with various office equipment, computers and various programs including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, cloud-based systems; familiarity with the online compliance system Enablon a plus.

Pay Rate: $24.04 - $28.85/hour Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
