Summary
The Perioperative Scheduler performs a variety of complex duties in collaboration with medical office personnel, surgeons, hospital staff and patients. The Scheduler arranges operative and/or invasive procedural appointments for multiple hospital departments carefully coordinating services to ensure timely access to care. The scheduler performs one or more revenue cycle functions related to the surgical cases scheduled.
Education
Some additional training beyond high school, but less than an Associates Degree.
Certification, Registration & Licensure
None required.
Experience
One year medical office experience and/or training preferred. Experience with Medical and Surgical Terminology and automated scheduling systems required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate in a Windows based environment.
Hours
Rotating shifts between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. No weekends, no major holidays.

and quality assurance monitoring.
