Performance Testing With Java Production Support

Technical/Functional Skills:

• Performance Testing Lead: responsible for testing the scalability, performance, and availability of e-commerce platform.

• Experience in Java based /Microservice Application production support

• Create test scripts by analyzing user stories, acceptance criteria, creating initial test designs, writing scripts, installing the automation testing protocols, and reporting results.

• Develop a repeatable process for designing, developing, and executing scripts.

• Conduct tests, document, and analyze test results, and present findings to development teams.

• Preparing reports on all aspects related to software testing carried out.

• Load and Stress Testing: Design and execute load and stress testing scenarios using K6 and JMeter to validate the platform's ability to handle increased loads.

• Performance Tuning: Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and implement performance tuning strategies to enhance system responsiveness.

• Sound in JAVA, SPRING Framework, SpringBoot and Database like MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres etc.

• Microservices Architecture: Evaluate and fine-tune the performance of microservices architecture to handle increased traffic loads.

• Scalability Assessment: Assess the scalability of the platform, recommending infrastructure upgrades or optimizations as needed to accommodate growth.

• Monitoring and Alerting: Implement and manage robust monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Splunk, New relic to ensure real-time visibility into platform performance.

• Observability Validation: Validate observability practices to provide actionable insights into system behavior, helping to identify and address performance issues proactively.

• Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure, monitor, and report on platform performance.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of performance test plans, results, monitoring configurations, and recommendations, providing regular reports to stakeholders.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and arch teams, to ensure alignment on performance goals and requirements.

• Strong analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

• Strong verbal and written communications skills

• Strong in providing short term and long terms technical solution for the performance problems

Experience Required:

• 6 + years of experience in performance engineering and JAVA application support, with a focus on e-commerce platforms.

• Understanding of various performance testing like load, stress, endurance etc. and experience writing tests scripts for REST APIs,

• Experience with writing tests using one or more of the following: Postman, Playwright, SpecFlow, Selenium, Appium, ect.

• Experience with JAVA, Spring, SpringBoot and Database( RDBMS)

• Cross channel performance experience is a plus, Site, Mobile, POS, Kiosk

• End2End Customer journey performance scenario experience is required

• Experience with performance testing tools such as K6 and JMeter.
