Texas A&M University's School of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts (PVFA) educates dancers, directors, computer graphics engineers, composers, art historians, sound technologist and more to serve our community, the nation, and the world. We're seeking a Performance Production Costume Shop Manager to plan, organize, direct, and manage day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the of the Costume Shop. If you have a passion for the arts with the gift of creativity, organization, and production logistics in costume design, with the skill-set of collaboration, budget reporting, scheduling and resource management, this may be the opportunity you're seeking. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Fashion Design, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience with five years of related experience in theatre design/costuming.
A well-qualified candidate may have work experience in stage/film productions, especially within the costume and wardrobe department with excellent sewing and design skills and/or MFA in Theatre or Fashion Design
Knowledge of costume design work, draping, cutting, millinery, dying and shop mechanics and machinery
