As Pinterest's star Performance Marketing Writer on the Brand Creative team, you'll work hand-in-hand with the Digital Marketing Designer to create digital ads that are both on-brand and dazzlingly effective. Then you test, learn, iterate and push to find even more compelling ways to tell Pinterest's story. Rinse and repeat!

What you'll do:

  • Create ads that run across Pinterest's app and social channels that show the value of Pinterest to both consumers and businesses, and inspire them to come (or come back!) to Pinterest

  • Transform product and marketing messaging into smart, pithy copy that consistently hits our goalsand then blows right past them

  • Work closely with our performance marketing and media buying teams to learn what works, and what doesn't, then adjust your strategies accordingly

  • Iterate on the go, and incorporate feedback like whoa

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years writing experience, including experience writing ads (think performance marketing, paid social posts, banner ads)

  • Marrow-deep understanding of Pinterest's voice, audiences and value proposition

  • Ability to zoom in and out with ease, understanding how each piece of content you create fits into the bigger story

  • Speedy, adaptive work style that thrives in the cheetah-fast startup world

About the Role Funding Circle is seeking a driven and innovative Performance Marketing Manager in San Francisco, to help drive profitable growth through direct marketing channels, both online and offline. This role will be responsible for driving continuous growth for the Direct Mail channel and help support email and other digital channel investments. This role requires someone who's analytical, detail oriented and thrives in a data and result driven environment. You are always curious about the why and always strive to find the next opportunity to grow your channels and with efficiency. You enjoy diving into data to analyze performance just as much as you enjoy working with our creative team or agencies to design new creative tests. The successful candidate will actively lead performance channels by working cross functionally to iterate on creative development and collaborating with both external and intepartnerslders to drive project completion under tight deadlines. You will play a pivotal role in helping to shape Funding Circle's marketing strategy, grow our bottom line. The role involves working closely with cross functional teams and communication skills are important as you will be working closely with data, analytics, and marketing to prioritize and execute against the opportunities you find. As the Performance Marketing Manager you will be responsible for… * Owning Direct Mail channel strategy, planning and execution to drive acquisition, conversion and awareness * Maximizing campaign ROI via rigorous tests and learn to optimize on copy, creative, and audience targeting * Partnering with external agencies, design team and analytics to leverage customer insights to develop creative testing roadmaps * Supporting the broader performance team on new channel tests, including email, social, and display * Presenting channel testing strategy, initiatives and campaigns results to broad audiences, with focus ono insights and next steps, not just data You've been there and done it… * 2+ years experience in performance/direct marketing * Working knowledge and shown success of building and scaling at least one performance channels, either online or offline * Experience driving creative development by turning concepts into creative briefs and iterate through A/B tests * Adept in leading multiple projects and partners * Rely on testing design, implementation and detailed analysis to measure and report on program performance * Strong Excel competency, comfortable working with complex data and with Analytics partners * Ability to set goals and execute under tight deadlines required * Excellent time and project management skills * Bachelor's Degree required * Experience running Direct Mail or other Direct Marketing campaigns is a plus * Experience on SMB marketing is a plus At Funding Circle, we celebrate and support the differences that make you, you.
