Patient Safety Coordinator Registered Nurse (RN)
A nonprofit health system is looking for a Patient Safety Coordinator Registered Nurse (RN) in the greater Philadelphia, PA area!

Job Details
Perm position.
40 hours per week.
Competitive Salary, ranging from $70K-$100K based on experience and educational credentials.
Flexible Monday to Friday Schedule.
Tuition Reimbursement Program, up to $8K per year!

Will be responsible for:
Coordination of all Patient Safety activities throughout the Hospital Health System.
Supporting all patient safety programs on a daily basis.
Management and Analyzation of incident reports system-wide.
Conducting event investigations and standardization of investigations.
Data Gathering, Analyzation and presentation to leadership.
Designing and providing patient safety educational programs across the health system.
Responsible for staying current on all patient safety related literature and science within the industry.

Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
Minimum of 2 years of acute care patient safety experience.
1-2 years of leadership experience related to healthcare quality, risk or patient safety required.
Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
Knowledge of Risk systems, Patient safety reporting and strong knowledge of risk management / patient safety policies and procedures.
CPHQ and CPPS certifications are highly preferred.
Ability to work within a team oriented environment and autonomously.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Design of statistical studies, application of statistical methods for patient quality & safety studies, interpretation of statistical analyses, design and programming of reports relevant to organizational goals studies, and analysis of data sources. * Serve on organizational quality/safety goals teams to advise them on sampling methodologies, statistical analysis and reporting. Lead appropriate teams as required. * Give presentations of analyses as required to appropriate forums. * Lead discussions in inter-departmental organizational goals teams and other forums on topics related to relevant statistical analyses. * Devise and execute educational development strategies for organizational goals teams to increase their understanding of statistical analysis in the selection of organizational patient quality/safety goals and in the measurement of success towards those goals. * Establish, review and maintain effective policies and procedures necessary for efficient work flow. * Participate in the negotiation of relevant software licenses, service contracts, and fees. * Participate in departmental budget development and manage expenditures to budget. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree in Statistics or Mathematics with 1 to 3 years' experience in statistical sampling, statistical analysis and reporting required. * Ability to communicate both in written and oral formats, and use mathematics to answer questions and solve problems required. * Ability to apply statistical principles to sampling and analysis while efficiently and effectively making sense of and organizing information into meaningful patterns preferred.
