St. Luke's in Twin Falls is looking for a Registered Nurse, Performance Improvement Specialist to join us in our strategy to be the community's trusted partner in providing exceptional, patient-centered care.

As the Performance Improvement Specialist- RN you will coordinate and implement performance improvement initiatives and leaded teams in performance improvement activities using PI tools and techniques and applying nursing practice, skills, concepts and/or methodologies. The individual will possess and apply competent working knowledge of subject matter; typically handle more complex issues and apply independent decision making. The Performance Improvement Specialist will deal with long-term, bigger-picture goals and objectives, collaborate with medical staff, employees, leaders and teams to test, implement and sustain successful improvements.

Required Criteria

  • Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in Idaho

  • 2 years additional relevant experience

  • Associates Degree in Nursing

Pre-Sentence Investigators work directly with felony criminal defendants, their victims, families, friends, and employers. Responsibilities involve conducting fact-finding interviews and investigations of a criminal defendant's background, recording those facts in a pre-sentence report, and submitting this report to the court for proper sentencing of the defendant. These reports must be comprehensive and accurate in every detail because of their potential bearing on a defendant's sentence. PSIs work closely with the courts and the recommendations made have a direct impact on the defendant's life and family. This recruitment will be used to fill an upcoming vacancy at District 5 in Twin Falls, Idaho and may be used to fill full time or part time open competitive, department promotional, statewide promotional, temporary or limited services in Twin Falls or the surrounding area for the next 6 months. Previous scores will not be used to fill the current vacancy.Example of Duties * Attend court proceedings to hear sentencing disposition and contact individuals who have pleaded guilty * Conduct interviews with criminal defendants and make collateral contacts with family members, neighbors, law enforcement personnel, attorneys, witnesses, and victims. Interviews with defendants may be conducted in person or via telephone or video when available. * Gather and evaluate police, probation and parole, military, and restitution reports, prosecutor's information, subpoenas, and psychological evaluations * Screen information, review notes, and evaluate data for validity and to eliminate unsubstantiated, inflammatory, or prejudicial data * Compile information collected and write a report detailing all facets of the investigation * Make a recommendation concerning disposition of the case and outline plans for treatment and rehabilitation available to the court Minimum Qualifications * Some knowledge of the criminal justice system * Some knowledge of in-depth interviewing to solicit facts, record information, and determine eligibility or appropriate course of action * Experience writing detailed reports with supporting rationale for recommendations made * Experience using computer applications software for creating documents, collecting and inputting data, and generating reports * Willingness to work with individuals with criminal backgrounds and anti-social behaviors * Willingness to review documents and graphic materials such as sexual and violent crimes including written and descriptive details Supplemental Information Desirable Qualifications: * Some knowledge of the fundamentals of behavioral sciences * Experience conducting extensive research, contacting a variety of sources to collect and verify information, and compiling information into reports * Experience dealing with individuals from varying cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in stressful situations which dealt with personal, sensitive, or confidential information such as family history, health issues, financial matters, or criminal activities or behaviors To be hired, candidates will have a history and background supportive of department mission goals and hiring will be subject to: * Completing a pre-employment drug test and Background Investigation Questionnaire * Having a federal and state criminal background check to include fingerprints * Having a history of law-abiding behavior * Felonies, misdemeanors, illegal drug usage, DUIs, adverse driving convictions and employment history may make you ineligible for employment Non-hiring restrictions are in place for candidates who: * Have a dishonorable discharge from military service * Currently are using, dealing or are associated with illegal drugs Idaho Division Of Human Resources Twin Falls ID
