Performance Improvement & Innovation Consultant

Description: The Performance Improvement & Innovation Consultant provides facilitation and direction for improvement initiatives by supporting JPS Health Network improvement teams by leading, coaching and facilitating the project life cycle to full project implementation in support of the Network's journey towards becoming a high reliability organization (HRO). This role provides subject matter expertise in electronic workflows and EMR functionality in order to improve care delivery and operational processes.
Applies performance improvement expertise in support of the JPS Health Network's focus areas to accelerate operational effectiveness and use of technology.
Fosters a systematic approach to process design, including appropriate performance measures, so processes meet key requirements.
Promotes the use of improvement methodologies and strategies to ensure a systematic approach for managing the change process.
Identifies and facilitates the use of appropriate improvement tools and techniques to ensure optimal improvement results.
Applies facilitation expertise in the role of coach, facilitator, or member of performance improvement teams and committees.
Shares subject matter expertise with other organizational stakeholders and trains team members in appropriate methods and tools for quality and performance improvement, as needed.

Promotes process management as a key managerial paradigm to assure the stability and capability of processes to meet and exceed the needs of patients, employees, and other key stakeholders.
Ensures the systematic development, definition, and deployment of appropriate metrics that include measures of efficiency, effectiveness, and cost reduction.
Acts as a liaison between Information Technology, Data Analytics, and Clinical staff to ensure proper and effective use of the electronic tools and software meet or exceeds business needs.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field, performance improvement discipline, or business from an accredited college or university.
5 years progressive work experience in leading and facilitating performance improvement efforts and/or working in a health informatics role.
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
Expert level skills in data analytics, spreadsheet management, data interpretation.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Current RN or MD
Master's Degree in a healthcare or business related field
Epic certifications in ASAP, orders, Optime
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
If RN, must provide current RN licensure by the State of Texas or license reciprocity proof between the State of Texas and another state.
