Job Summary:
To provide data measurement support to the performance improvement program through data collection, analysis, reporting, and continuing consultation. To develop and maintain databases to assist with data analysis and measurement.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or related field and one (1) year of related healthcare experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of data collection techniques. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skill to interact with employees. Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports. Ability to design and implement systems necessary to collect, maintain, and analyze data.
Responsibilities
Designs control tools to enable managers to have real time feedback of performance measures and unit specific projects.
Develops and produces standard and customized reports for internal and external customers pertaining to clinical outcomes of care and customer satisfaction. Utilizes SPSS, Excel and Access software for reporting.
Assists departmental staff in analyzing and interpreting data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for quality improvement. Serves as internal resource for data evaluation.
Supports departmental staff in organization of measurement activities, designation of required data, and design and development of relevant reports and displays.
Utilizes specified statistical software to analyze and interpret data. Maintains computerized collection and tracking of relevant data.
Collects and prepares source documents for data entry and enters data into departmental databases. Ensures data collection and abstraction, analysis and submission meets regulatory compliance requirements.
Develops access databases to assist in producing scorecards and report cards for nursing units and medical service departments along with the institutional scorecard.
Maintains internal databases for patient satisfaction surveys and generates reports to identify patients that meet criteria for regulatory measures to be submitted to CMS and the Joint Commission.
Develop programs, provide education and training on available systems, statistical and analytical processes.
