Overview:
Surgical Affiliates Management Group, Inc. (SAMGI) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our esteemed team on a per-diem basis at The Hospitals of Providence
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive trauma care to patients, including initial assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
Assist in surgical procedures and manage post-operative care.
Collaborate with attending surgeons, hospital staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Perform rounds, document patient progress, and update treatment plans as necessary.
Respond to trauma alerts and participate in the trauma call schedule.
Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures, post-operative care, and recovery processes.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in trauma surgery.
Requirements
Current and unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Texas.
Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C).
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in trauma surgery or a related surgical specialty.
Strong clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
