This is a 12 hour night shift position from 730 pm to 800 am

Required Criteria

  • At least one year of acute care RN experience in med surg

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)

  • BCLS certification

Per Diem Surgical Technician #2694146 Roles & Responsibilities: * Assists in the care of patients in the Operating Room and related areas under the direct supervision of the professional nurse. Assists in the care, preparation and maintenance of sterile and un-sterile equipment Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Demonstrates ability to apply principles of sterile technique * Assists circulating nurse * Assists in the safe transfer and positioning of patients according to accepted procedure * Functions as scrub technician or instrument technician as assigned * Assists in maintenance of sanitary environment * Assists in preparation of the room for the next operation * Cleans, assembles, and sterilizes equipment for surgical procedure trays * Demonstrates ability to maintain and operate sterilizing apparatus * Checks dates on supplies, restocks supplies and cleans cupboards * Attends staff and educational meetings * Works safely and provides for the safety of patients and others Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent.
