Per Diem Spec Health Screener - Wilkes Barre, PA

Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday preferred, however, all week including some Saturdays.

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Per Diem Health Screener is to provide coverage in the field ensuring that health screenings are completed accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment for clients and employees; perform with confidence all aspects of a health screening, including specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs basic waived testing technical procedures on blood samples and completes required quality control.

  • Provide exceptional customer service at all SH health screenings.

  • Maintains accurate, complete, and legible records.

  • Participates in training/retraining and continuing education programs as necessary.

  • Complies with all designated safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of applicable protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to potentially infectious agents.

  • Understands and complies with applicable federal, state and local laws. Adheres to quality assurance procedures and good manufacturing practices.

  • Maintain all HIPAA and OSHA standards while on events.

  • Performs other related duties as necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Formal medical education including current appropriate medical certification.

  • Additional medical certification / licensure as required by state / regulatory requirements.

  • 1 year of healthcare experience in a professional setting.

  • Proficient with finger sticks and manual blood pressure.

  • Ability to understand and perform complex procedures and techniques and work with complex instrumentation (Cholestech and/ or Cardio Check experience preferred).

  • Skills required for proper specimen and reagent handling, labeling, processing, preparation, transportation and storage necessary.

  • Must be knowledgeable of required regulations and comply with them.

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service internally and externally.

  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to read, understand and follow detailed procedures.

  • Basic computer skills necessary including access to internet /email.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Pleasant and friendly, yet professional personality.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel.

SLP will comply with MDLZ policies, SOX regulations and requirements. SLP will be the linkage between 3PL and Logistics, Warehouse, Transportation and Customer Service for direction of optimizing and coordinating full order cycle. Liaising with 3PL, vendors, and MDLZ operations to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency. Arrange warehouse, plan routes and process shipments, resolve arising problems or complaints. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. Maintain inventory accuracy, linkage to 3PL team to ensure 99.9% inventory accuracy is met and manage of Quality Hold & Release are performed, inventory management of "Lost" inventory and inventory type to ensure CFR is not impacted. Ensure inventory record keeping discipline with 3PL is optimal and order cuts are not incurred. Responsible for the implementation, governance and sustainability of Inbound Management Process and ensuring 3PL follow's MDLZ processes and procedures. Internal Contacts Product Supply, Transportation, Distribution (3PL), CSO WB, Manufacturing External Contacts Co-manufactures, customs, FDA, Contracted Carriers Qualifications Functional /Technical Expertise Role requires 2-3 years related experience in Distribution, Product Scheduling, and Inventory Logistics Planning. Specific work experience as noted preferred: Logistic Work Experience (2 yrs.), Product Supply Experience (2 yrs.), Transportation Work Experience (2 yrs.), Distribution Work Experience (2 years), Warehouse Management Systems Work Experience, SAP/KWIC/Red Prairie/EWM (2 years), APO Work Experience (2 years).
