PRO Pediatrics is currently seekinga skilled and compassionate Per DiemSchool Psychologist to provide services with a local school district in Scranton, PA.

Job Description:

• Conduct psychological assessments, including cognitive, behavioral, and emotional evaluations, to identify student needs and inform educational planning.
• Develop and implement intervention plans to address academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide guidance on educational and behavioral strategies. Offer professional development to staff on psychological topics.
• Participate in crisis response efforts, offering support and guidance in situations involving student distress, trauma, or emergency.
• Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including special education staff, school counselors, and other school personnel, to support student development.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards and school policies, as well as federal and state regulations

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in School Psychology or a related field
• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in PA
• Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
• Must be comfortable using a computer
• Must be able to complete documentation to school district standards
• Current clearances (within 6 months)
