Established in 1977, we have locations all over Northern California including Sacramento, Grass Valley, Roseville, Stockton, Modesto, Merced, Fairfield, Elk Grove, Folsom, Yuba City and Chico. Our physicians are nationally known, and we continue to be on the leading edge of retina care by utilizing the latest equipment and both participating in and designing new clinical trials to advance the state of care for retinal diseases.
Join our team members working for our nationally recognized retina specialty practice in a fast paced, high volume ambulatory surgery center. This is a per diem position for a pre-op/post-op/OR RN working in an ambulatory surgery center for ophthalmology in Sacramento, CA. Expected availability commitment of at least 1 day per week Responsibilities:
Assess, instruct and prepare patients prior to surgery Take and record vital signs Initiate IV and ensure patients are informed about their procedure Assess patients post-operative status by monitoring vital signs and utilizing the Aldrete score Prepare patients for discharge in a timely and thorough manner to maintain patient flow Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment Knowledge of sterile technique preferred but not required No weekend/holidays Requirements Valid CA RN license required BLS - HCP ACLS within 6 months of hire Experience preferred but will accept new grads Positive attitude Physical Requirements: Sitting and viewing computer screen Keyboarding Standing or walking, up to 75% of the time Lifting, reaching, and bending, often Close visual acuity required to perform duties such as viewing computer monitor, and determining accuracy and thoroughness of work
