The Regions Direct RN Operator will be the initial contact for all Regions Direct admissions and consultations. Regions Direct RN Operators are required to provide prompt and courteous customer service at all times. They must be able to communicate effectively with physicians from outside organizations to physicians at Regions Hospital to provide patient consultation and/or patient admission. Regions Direct RN Operators are responsible for triage of all Regions Direct patients to ensure a proper physician connection. Regions Direct RN Operators will be the initial point of contact for critical admissions such as Cath Lab Activations, Trauma Team Activation or IR Stroke admissions.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Minimum of 2 years full-time experience in Emergency Room or Critical Care.
Ability to learn and master the Regions Hospital EMS Guidelines.
Computer skills including keyboard proficiency, working knowledge of Word and Excel preferred.
Available to work day, evening, and night shifts as well as weekends and holidays.
Ability to be attentive to multiple details at the same time.
Ability to think clearly and act promptly in emergencies and under pressure.
Ability to understand, read, and writes the English language.
Ability to communicate effectively and speak English clearly and distinctly.
Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other medical professionals.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.

Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
