Position Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive environment where our adult members are treated with dignity and respect. Promotion of member development and personally satisfying lifestyles, while providing opportunity for independence and increasing self-sufficiency, is our expectation.

Duties and Responsibilitie

Support, and encourage members to achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency in the areas of self-care, independent living skills, and social and community awareness.

Independently initiate household maintenance/upkeep as necessary, informing House Manager/Administrator of any repair needs as soon as possible.

Transport members in approved vehicles as activities require.

Act as a role model, maintaining professional, respectful relationships with members and providing clear and consistent boundaries as necessary.

Ensure medication distribution following successful completion of Medication Course (CRMA).

Support, Assist and encourage members in all areas of daily living including, but not limited to: personal care, feeding, socialization, recreation and leisure activities.

Complete daily documentation requirements for each shift by using the Agency electronic recordkeeping system (ERK).

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a desire to work with individuals with developmental disabilities

Must have a High School diploma or equivalent

Must have valid driver's license from state of residence and clean driving record

Must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing English

Must complete Agency and State mandated trainings within specified timeframe

Must maintain certification requirements

Must be able to transfer adults weighing 75-150lbs with two assists and/or mechanical lift

Must be reliable and maintain an acceptable attendance record
