Fil Staffing is looking for a Per Diem Clinician to work Onsite in San Francisco.

Summary:

Fil Staffing is working with a client nonprofit in San Francisco that aims to provide families in the bay area to live with understanding, confidence, straight, and joy. The mission is to be the place to begin for children, youth and families who need mental health, social services and academic support.

Responsibilities:

The Per Diem Clinician works within a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for triaging crisis cases, clinically assessing clients for voluntary and involuntary holds due to danger to self, others, or grave disability, providing crisis intervention services, completing psychosocial assessments and documentation, providing clinical case management, care coordination, and follow up care to ensure successful linkages to appropriate services, all within a fast paced environment that consistently fluctuates in number of clients being served at any particular time (maximum 4).

  • Clinically assess clients to determine if they meet voluntary and involuntary hold criteria as determined by danger to self, others, or grave disability.
  • Triage crisis cases within a multidisciplinary setting to include collaboration with many agencies such as police, fire, Child Crisis, CPS, HSA.
  • Conduct individual crisis assessments, family sessions, and collateral interviews to adequately gather information and formulate appropriate dispositions and safety plans.
  • Provide psychological/behavioral interventions to clients and families experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Engage in crisis interventions and de-escalation, including the application of conflict resolution and collaborative problem solving techniques and/or manual restraints as necessary.
  • Use interpersonal communication skills to develop rapport and engage client and caregivers.
  • As part of the crisis team- assess, evaluate and monitor the safety of the client and others at all times.
  • Engage clients and caregivers as full partners in service planning, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Implement clinical policies and procedures and actively enhance communication, coordination and integration of care with other service areas and with external providers.
  • Contribute to organization-wide quality management and improvement efforts by consistently providing the highest quality professional interventions, fulfilling all documentation requirements, and proactively seeking ways to enhance the quality of services and surpass minimum required standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work or related field
  • Must be registered with the BBS
  • Experience working with children, youth and families experiencing acute crisis that put the youth in jeopardy of being psychiatrically hospitalized.
  • Experience working with at risk, disenfranchised and/or minority populations
  • Experience working with children, youth and families that have been or are involved in issues relating to trauma and/or abuse (verbal, physical, sexual, and neglect).
  • Demonstrated ability in working collaboratively with individuals and groups.
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and consultation skills

Hourly Rate between $40-$49 per hour
