Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant

NCG Associates, a reputable healthcare staffing company, is currently seeking dedicated and skilled Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. As a Per Diem CNA at NCG Associates, you will have the flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, providing essential care and support to patients in various healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and eating
• Transfer patients safely to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment
• Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
• Help patients with range of motion exercises and physical therapy routines
• Observe and report any changes in patients' condition or behavior to the nursing staff
• Ensure patients' rooms are clean and tidy
• Assist with documenting patient information and maintaining accurate records
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a CNA preferred
• Basic knowledge of nursing principles and practices
• Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Physical endurance and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
