Your Role and Responsibilities

PeopleSoft HCM Functional Analyst/Lead position supporting PeopleSoft Federal HCM v9.2 for a large Federal Government client. Candidate should have the ability to perform and lead PeopleSoft functional initiatives and subprojects with no direct supervision or direction. Candidate should have strong knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft HCM and, preferably, experience with PeopleSoft Federal HCM. As a lead, the candidate should be able to coordinate activities of junior team members and client team members through initiatives and projects that are complex in nature.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Ability to pass the Dept of Veterans Affairs security and background check.

  • 10+ years of experience working on PeopleSoft HCM engagements.

  • 5+ years of experience in leading initiatives, special projects or large enhancements on PeopleSoft HCM engagements.

  • Experience working with Federal Government or Defense agencies.

  • Strong experience and abilities to support HR Business process transformation and improvement initiatives.

  • Experience with Title 5 Government HR business rules and data processes.

  • Ability to work with functional and technical team members on activities spanning all project phases.

  • Understanding of PeopleSoft query and reporting tools.

  • Understanding of setup tables, and integration between various PeopleSoft HCM modules.

  • Experience providing functional support and direction to PeopleSoft technical team members when implementing new processes and functionality in PeopleSoft HCM.

  • Knowledge of SDLC as it relates to PeopleSoft HCM implementations and production support.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years experience with PeopleSoft v9.x Federal HCM.

  • 5+ years subject matter expertise in Federal HR rules and business processes.

  • Experience managing Software product Release activities.

  • Experience with Agile development methods.

  • Experience with time and labor and/or benefits administration modules in addition to Core HR.

  • Capacity and willingness to learn complex business rules and apply them to system processes and support.

The selected candidate will focus on system support, new projects, and enhancements to an existing R12 Federal Financials system. The candidate should have over six (6) years' experience in federal financial applications and processes. This project is on-boarding in January 2020. Responsibilities: * Provide oversight to Help Desk Support Team resolving deployed Agency and partner functional issues and elevating defects and change requests through the Configuration Management process. * Document Help desk trouble tickets in the help desk ticketing tool and leveraging the tool to create help desk metrics and frequently asked question guides. * Analyze and resolving reported help desk problems * Triage problems to determine potential causes and to resolve or escalate issues as appropriate. * Develop and conduct functional help desk training sessions for help desk team members * Support emergency help desk team blackberry on a rotating basis during one week of evenings per month and during one weekend per month * Work closely with DBA and network teams to resolve technical issues * Support Help desk 5 days per week on client site * Provide leadership and expertise to troubleshoot and review and recommend improvements based upon "best practices" and R12 functionality for the following Budget-to-Report (B2R) business process flow areas and tasks: * Budget Planning & Formulation * Federal Admin * Distribute Budget * Manage Budget * Manage Continuing
