Illumina has a great opportunity for an experienced Staff Analyst/Project Manager, People Technology interested in joining a fast-paced, high growth environment. This role will report to the Manager of People Technology and be responsible for managing multiple projects globally supporting Human Resources and cross-functional groups.

The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or PM in People Technology (HRIS) with a thorough understanding of Human Resource programs, processes, and technology. Top candidates will have direct experience managing multiple concurrent projects with involvement in solution design, process optimization, technology assessment, business case development and implementation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead large cross-functional project teams for Human Resources primarily in Talent (Talent Management and Talent Acquisition) using our project management methodology standards

  • Develop and manage core project management deliverables including detailed scope and requirements, resource plans, project schedules, risk management plans, change control processes, communication plans, test strategies and lessons learned

  • Escalate critical risks, issues, changes, problems or delays to the project sponsor & People Technology leadership as needed

  • Facilitate clear and concise status updates for key project stakeholders including direct communications with project sponsors and steering committees

  • Partner with business owners to identify opportunities to optimize business processes and identify effective action plans to increase efficiencies

Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:

  • Familiarity and experience with HR & Talent Acquisition programs, systems and processes (e.g. HCM & applicant tracking systems, recruiting, sourcing & pre-screening, onboarding, etc.)

  • Ability to work effectively with HR leadership & stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives, prioritization, and successful project delivery

  • Utilizing proven interpersonal and change management skills, overcome resistance to new processes and technologies

  • Strong business acumen to recommend optimal solutions to complex business problems by critically evaluating and distinguishing user requests from the underlying true business needs

  • Self-starter with proven ability to produce positive results under tight deadlines with limited resources

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of HRIS experience using Workday HCM (Talent, Recruiting, Reporting/Dashboards, and Integrations preferred)

  • Ability to think critically and creatively in developing solutions to challenges

  • Proven ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams

  • Strong attention to detail with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel (Pivot Tables, Charts, Index/Match) and PowerPoint

  • Advanced communication and presentation skills

  • Capable of performing well in a fast-paced, high growth environment

  • Experience in life sciences, biotechnology, high-tech or related field is preferred

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field

About New Markets: Recently formed, the New Markets organization is an expanding, fully-dedicated team focused on creating significant value by driving Dexcom's world-class continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology into new applications, such as non-intensive type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, the hospital and managed care facilities, and pregnancy (including gestational diabetes). These important initiatives are entrepreneurial by nature, as they may require novel go-to-market strategies and new technologies. Each member of this team will play a critical role in helping the New Markets organization first explore then realize the significant potential that exists within these exciting new opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: As a dedicated member of the New Markets organization, the Hospital Technology Lead will: * Work closely with the New Markets leadership team to understand and document current and future unmet needs as it relates to continuous monitoring of glucose (CGM) and other analytes in the Hospital vertical/segment * Collaborate with R&D leaders and engineers to identify and prioritize potential enabling technologies that could add value and accelerate adoption of CGM in the Hospital space * Support or generate technology investment proposals linking needs and technologies and obtain funding & project approval from New Markets leadership team * Oversee and drive efforts related to characterization and compatibility of Dexcom's current and future products in the hospital environment (evaluating the unique implications of equipment, chemical (drug) and physiological interferents) * Manage and track the portion of the New Markets budget allocated to technology development for the Hospital vertical/segment * Ensure approved technology proposals & projects are assigned leaders, teams, and given resources. * Work with individual technology leads to set milestones and timelines for all funded efforts * Track timelines, milestones, objectives, and priorities for all early-stage hospital technology projects and provide regular updates to New Markets leadership * Work side-by-side with the various technology teams in their pursuit of bench, clinical, and commercial feasibility of new technologies, digging in and contributing directly where needed * Manage interdependencies and coordination between the various technology efforts, driving all key system-level decisions * Collaborate with technology teams to identify, quantify, & drive down risks and barriers associated with next generation technologies * Take a lead on prototyping, proving out, and establishing methods for how to best develop technologies for new markets/applications via teams both internal and external to Dexcom * Establish and drive the technology roadmap and strategy for the Hospital vertical/segment and facilitating associated communications to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. partners). * Apply learnings and best practices for above activities to other verticals/segments within New Markets in support of the creation of parallel technical teams within those areas, as needed.
