Risk Management Solutions (RMS) is looking for a People Strategy Operations Analyst to assist with Reporting and administration for the team. You've probably never heard of us and that's okay. We model almost everything. Did you know there's a 5% chance that a hurricane will cause $60 billion of insured losses next year and a 1% chance an earthquake will cause $50 billion of insured loss in the next 12 months? At RMS, we build the simulation models that allow insurers and investors to understand portfolio risks due to catastrophes: natural catastrophes (hurricane, earthquake, flood), terrorism, pandemic, and changes in life expectancy.

Summary of Expectations for the role:

  • Ability to use our systems and compile information to develop Excel reports and Powerpoint decks that astound on a regular basis.

  • Have so much attention to detail (and a great memory) that you can see the discrepancies in data from the different reports and systems. AND be excited enough to want to fix all of these discrepancies so it never happens again.

  • Keep track of the thousands of details to keep us organized, on track and ahead of the game. Think of it as a cat herder.

  • Always believe the internal customers have to have the best experience possible, even if it means bending over backwards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish appropriate auditing and monitoring of HR data to ensure accuracy.

  • Develop simple to complex HR reports using data from multiple HR data sources to meet weekly, monthly and quarterly customer requirements. Decipher report requirements ensuring appropriate data sourcing to accurately achieve desired outcomes.

  • Act as Procurement Lead for the department.

  • Processes new hire and termination paperwork. Take responsibility for unemployment claims.

  • Manage US and International payroll exports and act as primary liaison with Payroll department.

  • Create all employment files (personnel, benefit, 401k, stock).

  • Handle approvals and changes in benefits systems. Track those that affect payroll.

  • Oversee file room maintenance including all filing and document retention policies. This would also include updating labor law books, Chamber members and labor posters.

  • Assist with intranet postings and employee communications.

  • Prepare annual compliance reports including: AAP, EEO1, Vets100.

  • Ensure the appropriate privacy controls are followed.

  • Assist with projects, filing and data entry.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of human resources experience.

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in HR or a systems or business related field.

  • Excel and Powerpoint guru. Advanced ability to develop macros, queries, reports, etc.

  • Very detail oriented and organized.

  • Ability to deal effectively with a global multi-cultural team and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.

  • Superior organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Work well amid ambiguity.

  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

  • Highly collaborative and willing to help with anything that comes up.

  • Self-directed, able to set priorities and work effectively in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.

  • Proven ability to work with highly confidential data with a high-level of professionalism.

Nice to Haves:

  • Workday experience.

  • Solid understanding of HR, Payroll and Finance business processes and their interdependencies.
