In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience and visibility to the full range of People Operations work. You will be in charge of on-boarding new joiners, ensuring their data is entered correctly and timely in our systems; answering employee questions on benefits; and ensuring all Circlers get paid the right amount and on time.

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented People Ops Coordinator to join the People Operations team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience and transparency into the full range of HR disciplines, supporting the Funding Circle USA team.

The People Ops Coordinator will also collaborate with all Funding Circle geos with a focus on global consistency and best practice sharing across offices. You will be in charge of onboarding new joiners, ensuring employee data is entered correctly and timely into HR systems, answering People team questions from employees, and ensuring all Circlers get paid the right amount and on time. You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of people projects related to employee benefits, learning and development, and employee happiness. In this role, you will:

  • On-board new hires (including distribution and collection of new hire documentation, completion of I-9's, equity administration, etc)

  • Welcome new hires to the team, organize their onboarding sessions, help them get set up, and ensure they have a great onboarding experience.

  • Ensure our systems always have the right people data by updating and auditing people data on an ongoing basis.

  • Process employee changes, terminations, and related processes including communications, notifications, filing and systems updates

  • Pull and manipulate reports for the wider People team.

  • Be the first point of contact for employee questions and advance issues to other members of the people team if appropriate.

  • Participate in people projects and initiatives

  • Assist with crafting people related presentations

  • Support the tracking and upkeep of employee and manager trainings

  • You know how to maintain confidentiality.

  • You are proficient in Excel and Google Docs

  • Familiarity with and interest in HR systems and/or tools is a big plus!

Our ideal candidate is someone who is a go-getter, positive and able to learn and adapt in a fast-growing environment. Responsibilities * Maintain employee data in Workday including entering all new hires, updating organizational structure changes, job titles changes, salary increases, etc * Audit changes entered by others * Work collaboratively with other People Ops teams as well as multiple other organizations across the company (our internal customers) * Respond to employee questions sent to internal People Operations alias about benefits, PTO accruals, address changes, etc. * Review candidate documentation and run background checks * Work with Payroll team to ensure new hires are paid according to their start dates, receive any relocation/signing bonuses, and are set up correctly for deduction of taxes * Ensure compliance with the I-9 process, including E-verify for remote employees in required states * Conduct employment verifications and handle unemployment claims * Handle back-end process for terminations, such as terming out of systems and sending separation paperwork * General administrative work as needed * Generate reports for analytics, auditing purposes, etc. * Assist with maintenance of company intranet * Continuously look for better ways to do things, partner with People Ops peers and other teams to improve processes, and educate partners on our processes Requirements * Minimum of 1 year work experience in a Human Resources or similar support role * Bachelor's degree is a plus * Preferred but not required: Working knowledge of HR systems, benefits plans and payroll processes * Attention to detail is a must * Ability to work independently and also as part of a collaborative team * High ethical standards with demonstrated experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information * Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills * Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) * Able to work effectively in an open, highly energetic environment * Effective oral and written communication skills * #LI-JL1 Yelp Inc.
