Job Description

The People Operations Specialist will have the opportunity to be part of moments that matter in our employees' lives and will help create an exceptional employee experience. They will do this by taking care of our future and current employees across all functions and levels within the organization. The ideal candidate has a passion for building a strong and unique company culture, loves interacting with different types of personalities, is business focused and is comfortable working with systems operations, onboarding/offboarding, and being the first point of contact for all new Tekionites. You will be instrumental in building out the team in a period of high growth and, in doing so, working cross functionally with visibility to our senior leadership across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to employee tickets and provide excellent response times and service levels when answering basic day-to-day employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, policies/procedures as a Tier 1 resource in our developing Shared Services structure.
Be first point of contact for all global mobility-related experiences inclusive of immigration and relocation.
Work hand-in-hand with our immigration and relocation partners to create a best-in-class experience for our employees.
Be a back-up for our bi-weekly orientation and be up to speed with the new hire process.
Process employee job changes in HRIS and follow up with any appropriate documentation.
Own the off-boarding process from an admin perspective - IT ticket, last day documents, separation agreement, collecting equipment, notifying immigration etc.
Be a part of auditing on a consistent basis to ensure compliance.
Be an active part of our Workday implementation.
Understand our brand, culture, mission and values to effectively serve as an ambassador for Tekion and a welcoming first touchpoint to all new hires on their "employee journey" with us.
Seek out, propose, develop, and implement process efficiencies.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of experience in an HR/TA department
Familiarity with immigration (H-1B, TN, L and PERM processes) - highly desired
Experience with holding successful relationships with external vendors
Advanced Excel knowledge
Eye for detail and double-checking work to avoid mistakes
Ability to build trust and drive team effectiveness
Strong organization, project management, and communication skills
Keenly attuned to issues of diversity and inclusion
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate a clear and compelling vision and developing effective working relationships
A "can-do" attitude and the ability to work as part of a team
Ability to deal with ambiguity, prioritize competing priorities and pivot quickly
Preferred Skills
Experience with Workday and Greenhouse (ATS & Welcome)
Global experience preferred
Familiar with SOC 2 compliance and IPO readiness

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $101,400. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position is also eligible for a bonus whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. In addition to the compensation listed, this position is eligible for equity compensation.
