Fivestars is searching for an innovative People Operations Business Partner to join our team. Overview:

Your contribution to the employee experience is one of the most important and critical components to the success of each team member here. Help us build an impactful and amazing employee experience from onboarding, coaching, feedback training, career development tools, successful departures, the building of our technology stack, creating solid stories through data analytics, seamlessly refining our backend systems and so much more.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in refining the entire employee experience from onboarding, coaching, feedback, career tracks, departures, celebrating wins to creating lasting brand ambassadors

  • Lead leave of absence administration to provide support and resources for our employees

  • Partner on employee relations and investigations

  • Lead compensation and total rewards analysis to align with our values and ensuring we are taking care of our employees

  • Partner and coach managers through challenging conversations including performance plans and terminations

  • Deep dive into analytics including employee engagement and diversity data and design and implement programs to improve our employee experience

  • Empower and educate managers on the importance of ongoing feedback and performance summaries

  • Create policies and guidelines when necessary with a simple and lightweight approach

  • Continuously analyze our technology stack to ensure it serves our employees' needs

  • Partner with remote employees be available to travel 4 days every 2 months

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in HR or related field is a must

  • 5+ years of experience in HR role; 2+ years working in a start-up is a must

  • HR generalist experience and curiosity to continuously learn about all aspects of HR

  • A deep knowledge of leave of absence, benefits, employment law, compliance, and compensation

  • An obsession with simplifying people operations and using a well-refined approach

  • A powerful understanding of what it means to create a great employee experience and a passion to make it happen

  • An ability to truly listen, be empathetic, take action and follow through

  • An ability to play with and analyze data that can tell a powerful story

In this role, you will partner with leaders across HR to enact and influence People Operations Strategy. You will become the trusted adviser and dedicated analytics partner to the People Operations leaders globally to ensure data is informing strategy and processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, analytical, storytelling skills and will thrive managing concurrent projects while working with a global team to drive outcomes. We are looking for someone who enjoys building, figuring out the best way to achieve results, and working closely with global teams across multiple time zones. We need someone who enjoys operating in ambiguity and uses creativity to combat challenges This is a full-time role based in Menlo Park, CA. RESPONSIBILITIES * Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and help inform, influence, support, and execute our business decisions for the People Operations team Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to key business partners in collaboration with the Global People Analytics team Partner with People Operations leaders to develop measurement strategies and data solutions for the People Operations Org Investigate ways to measure and visualize existing processes for internal efficiency analysis and stakeholder communication Manage multiple concurrent projects that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs Share data expertise and techniques with colleagues to cultivate a data driven culture across the People Operations team Deliver analytical, survey or research results to technical and non-technical audiences Leverage tools, such as SQL, Tableau, Workday, Visier, Salesforce and Excel to drive analytics and enable client self-service on routine queries MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * MBA/MA/MS or equivalent work experience in a field that emphasizes analyzing, displaying, or reporting on data (e.g., computer science, math, engineering, economics, statistics, psychology) 6+ years of consulting or corporate work experience focused on using data to uncover insights that drive action and communicating analyses to technical and non-technical audiences. Experience includes analytics, management consulting, sales operations, finance, compensation, or related fields Knowledge of statistical analysis (e.g., descriptive statistics and knowledge with statistical significance), quantitative research, and experience gathering and interpreting data Project management experience with multiple stakeholders prioritizing and delegating projects/tasks Experience engaging directly with enterprise-level clients and stakeholders Experience training/mentoring team members Experience working across various levels of an organization, while building trust and fostering collaboration Knowledge of data visualization principles Experience in SQL, data visualization tools, and Excel (formula, pivots, macros, etc.) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience working with HR/organizational people data (e.g. headcount, turnover, recruiting metrics, and other people analytics) Experience working in an operations department and an understanding of operational KPIs Experience in HR analytics using HR systems and tools such as Workday, Visier, Salesforce etc. Experience building dashboards using advanced Tableau functionality (e.g. data blending) Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, demanding environment, under pressure Experience in HR project management, working on projects that impact the employee lifecycle Facebook is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures.
