We're looking for an Employee Relations Lead who will help support the day-to-day needs of amazing employees on our Product and Design teams. This is not your typical Employee Relations role. You'll be a steward of Pinterest's culture, leveraging insights from your work to identify trends and be empowered to create proactive solutions to address them.

What you'll do:

  • Be a trusted advisor to employees and managers providing coaching and support to help them deliver their best work every day

  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the organization, supporting employees through hardship, and influencing managers to enact changes that preserve what's unique about our culture while helping us evolve to support the needs of Pinners

  • Partner with a variety of stakeholders (HR Business Partners, Legal, Leadership, etc.) to provide counsel and facilitate prompt, fair, and effective resolution of workplace concerns to help deliver a positive employee experience

  • Analyze people experience trends and partner with internal stakeholders to develop proactive strategies, solutions, programs, and policies

  • Owns the exit process end-to-end for all voluntary terminations, including exit interviews

  • Effectively manage both proactive and reactive people experience cases from initial stages through resolution

  • Assist with People Experience projects and initiatives including, but not limited to, New Employee Orientation, general HR support work, and program/project management support

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of HR Generalist or Employee Relations experience

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle Employee Relations matters in an urgent and confidential manner

  • Ability to operate independently and demonstrate strong decision making. Knows when to escalate issues and seek appropriate support

  • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices to manage legal risk

Playing a key role throughout the employee lifecycle from hiring and on-boarding to developing and off-boarding, the People Services team delivers on operational excellence and surfacing data-driven insights. Supporting our Engineering, Product & Design teams, you will use data analysis and project management to continuously improve programs and policies that impact the employee experience. You care about the employee experience while managing and improving backend operations and processes. What You'll Do: * Provide seamless and client-focused support to our people throughout the employee lifecycle from onboarding, transfers, performance cycles and critical moments through departure * Partner closely with HRBPs to manage people programs and day-to-day HR administration * Communicate effectively with employees and management to process worker changes * Proactively identify improvements to processes and data integrity * Tackle critical people challenges through data analysis * Provide program management support for calendered planning cycles and events, including promotions, compensation planning and manager trainings * Support reorganizations and other large-scale projects * Coordinate offboarding activities as people exit the organization, including exit interviews * Streamline and manage severance process, including drafting separation agreements, coordinating offboarding activities, and processing any necessary payments as people leave the organization * Maintain people data across HR systems * Develop strong understanding for process management in our core systems * Work closely with offshore team to manage employee data changes in Workday * Perform Workday data audits * Take initiative in system implementation and enhancement projects: requirements definition, process design, and system testing * Ensure necessary documentation is stored in electronic employee files Who You Are: * You proactively anticipate business needs and process improvements * You are highly organized and detailed-oriented; with the ability to handle simultaneous projects with moving parts * You work collaboratively across different functions and communicate fearlessly and effectively * You display good common sense, judgment – knowing when issues need to be raised * You effectively prioritize and thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment * You take initiative and work independently * You possess a strong presence and level of comfort engaging with team members of all levels * You have a passion for always maintaining a high quality employee experience Requirements: * Bachelor's degree * 2-3 years experience in an HR administration, operations or generalist role, preferably in the technology industry * Experience with Workday is a strong plus * Advanced Excel and analytical skills, experience in Google Docs is a plus * PHR certification is a plus We are committed to an inclusive and diverse Twitter.
