About the People Experience Team

As part of the People Services (HR) Team, you will help to create a professional, positive, warm and welcoming office environment for Houzz employees that is in line with our culture and values. Not only does the People Experience team to support employees in each office, but it also manages overall employee engagement and large scale projects such as internal events, employee awards and wellness/perk programs. People Experience also manages external vendors (i.e. food, office services, and rentals) that are essential in supporting the company's needs. This role would be largely dedicated to the overall experience of our Sales offices in Orange County, San Diego, Phoenix, and Nashville.

You will be a key member of our People Experience team and you pride yourself on your attention to detail, organization skills and ability to build relationships cross-functionally. Your role will involve a high level of interaction both internally and externally, as well as with our Facilities team.

What You'll Do

  • Create a lively, dynamic and fun work culture for your local office employees.

  • Oversee front desk reception - Greet visitors and be the first point of contact for Houzz employees, guests, candidates, and vendors.

  • Maintain visitor log and check-in at the Front Desk ensuring a safe/secure environment for employees.

  • Maintain and update office documents as needed and ensure items are securely kept, current and accurate - this may include office budget tracking, visitor policies, etc.

  • Full management of all in-office catering and food deliveries, including weekly meals (Monday breakfast and Friday lunch). Including ordering, set up, take down and invoice review/submission.

  • Support local customization of programs, including employee wellness and perks, employee recognition and anniversaries in partnership with People Services.

  • Create experiences to recognize and celebrate sales rep achievements through contests and incentives. Keep organized documents to track the office budget and update employee preference files.

  • The position will also include various ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks required to support the business throughout the year

At a Minimum, We'd Like You To Have

  • Proven record of going the extra mile, overachievement

  • Strong organizational and creative skills, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple and ever-changing priorities in a fluid startup environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work some weekend days/shifts when needed

Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • Bachelor's degree (or commensurate experience)

  • Experience with front desk duties, reception, etc.

  • Strong comfort level with Google Suite, specifically Google Sheets
