Position Summary

The People Experience Assistant is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The People Experience Assistant will be vital in creating a positive and inclusive workplace experience for our team members while coordinating calendars, processes, and projects for multiple teams. S/he is organized, resourceful, and committed to delivering exceptional services to our teams in administrative support and event planning.

This position will be in person in our Brentwood, TN home office.

Position Specific Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative assistance to the leaders of the People team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, managing expenses, and preparing documents and presentations.

  • Provides administrative assistance to up to four (4) executives.

  • Assists with team member onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing new hire welcome kits and coordinating exit checklists for team members at the Home Office.

  • Handles incoming inquiries and requests from employees, routing them to the appropriate channels for resolution.

  • Provides general administrative support to processes and projects within the People (HR) sphere of practice.

  • Assists in planning and executing company events, including training sessions, meetings, workshops, team-building activities, and celebrations.

  • Coordinates event logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and audiovisual setup.

  • Provides on-site support as needed to ensure events run smoothly and result in great experiences for team members in attendance.

  • Oversees day-to-day office operations to maximize the People Experience and create opportunities to demonstrate the company culture at the Home Office.

  • Designs and execute events and programs to facilitate teamwork and engagement of the Home Office (onsite and remote) teams.

  • Assists the Home Office coordinator with the daily needs of the workspace. Collaborate with the Chief People Officer on strategic direction and decisions for the Home Office.

  • Supports the implementation of employee engagement initiatives and programs at the Home Office, such as wellness activities, recognition programs, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in event coordination or administrative support roles.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software.

Skills

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.

  • Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to take on new challenges.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
