About the Role

As a People Business Partner (PBP) supporting one or more team, you will be key in the delivery of our People (HR) initiatives. These initiatives will align with the Company's overall business strategy, culture and values, and will help build and scale a global, results-oriented, high-performance working environment. We are looking for someone who has knowledge of HR policies and procedures gained through previous experience of working in a generalist HR role. This role will require an agile HR professional who adapts quickly to fluid environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support full-scale People processes for client groups, including performance management, compensation program administration, talent management, workforce planning, talent & leadership development, employee engagement & retention, org culture, and diversity & inclusion

  • Provide advice and support on general HR matters to employees and managers

  • Support the execution of HR initiatives to enable seamless, scalable growth in assigned client teams

  • Work with Senior People Solutions Business Partners in the US to manage employee relations, complaints, and performance issues for client groups

  • Serve as a solution provider for general HR support to employees and managers

  • Help build programs to effectively onboard and ramp new employees in business function(s)

  • Partner with other global PBPs to execute on aligned Global HR initiatives

  • Act as a cultural steward to scale the Confluent culture as we grow our teams and locations

What we're looking for

  • Strong generalist HR experience; including supporting senior leaders

  • Possesses impeccable judgment on when to escalate issues

  • Experience partnering with and providing HR support to teams in software companies

  • Effective problem-solving approach, including innovation and creativity

  • Experience with following a standard HR legal protocol to conduct investigations

  • Ability to successfully resolve interpersonal issues in the workplace

  • Strong communication, influencing, presentation and facilitation skills

  • Experience working within a multi-regional, fast-growing organization with progressive HR practices

  • Sense of urgency and ability to deliver results quickly and proactively

  • Analytical ability to use data to craft and deliver high-impact, relevant solutions

  • Exceptional internal customer service and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude

  • Strong partnership and collaboration perspective when working across the G&A team including Finance, Legal, Operations, People & Talent teams

Additional highly desirable experience

  • Experience in a software development company operating in a SaaS business model

  • Cross-functional business experience a plus

  • Highly skilled in complex employee relations a plus

  • Combination of high-growth private and public company backgrounds desired

As a Thought Leader, you will create overall standards for operational quality and ensure all vendor operations meet and exceed goals. You will scale your impact by working with Process Owners and Specialists throughout our organization to manage a portfolio of Quality initiatives in multiple areas improving the reliability of our operations and also improving experience for our end users. As a Quality Lead, you will enable the supplier managers to drive the right changes in each of their partner operations driven by strong industry standard frameworks. Minimum qualifications: * BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. * Vendor quality management/control experience for global/large scale operations. * Process design and improvement experience (Lean Six Sigma or equivalent). Preferred qualifications: * Experience working with/managing a large team (working with a managed service provider) and the ability to work as an individual contributor on multiple projects. * Experience with outsourcing (including offshore) agreements and running end-to-end operations. * Track record of managing vendors across various sites with a managed service provider. * Domain expertise in quality management principles (e.g. Six Sigma Black Belt). * Ability to drive large scale organizational change across various workflows, services and teams. Excellent project management and communication skills. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with ability to process high amount of data to drive business strategies and decisions. * Build a global quality assurance program, driving consistency and continuous improvement across workflows/processes for resource performance as well as process performance. * Work with Partner process excellence teams (Dedicated Black Belt resources) to ensure our Quality Strategy is deployed throughout the portfolio. * Lead the 'Customer Service' focused trainings development and deployment including Training Certification for Vendor Trainers. * Ensure Quality approaches are built into resource onboarding and constant performance calibration. This would include auditing of each coordinator transactions and understanding attributes of top performing caseworkers and share learning with others. * Creating and deploying a Mystery Shopping program at Scale to ensure that each new process and service changes and key user journeys are proactively pre-tested.
