Our Retirement team provides expertise in retirement and investment consulting to support organizations worldwide in designing, managing, administering and communicating all types of retirement plans.

Explore an opportunity. As a Pension Benefits Analyst you will contribute as part of a team to provide general administration support and basic pension administration tasks. You will perform recurring plan administration services and work assignments for clients' defined benefit plans under the supervision of senior analysts and work with the client service delivery team as well as interface with clients to answer questions, resolve issues and complete projects.

Love your work. You will partner with team members on the following objectives:

  • Perform with guidance from other team members, routine and recurring plan administration tasks for clients' defined benefit plans (e.g., benefit calculations, annual data updates, assist with preparation of benefit statements)

  • Work cooperatively with other team members (Willis Towers Watson plan administrators, actuaries) to complete tasks and to ensure unified delivery of services

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the plan design (e.g., benefit formulas, options, eligibility)

  • Follow and update documentation materials as directed to maintain complete accurate work papers and audit trails

  • Learn and use Professional Excellence tools and concepts to ensure efficient and quality output/service delivery

  • Serve as a contact with clients' human resources personnel

  • Adhere to plan documents and government regulations in administering plans

  • Actively participate in team meetings and training activities

  • Be accountable to team members for agreements and commitments

Bachelors or Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0

Solid mathematical and analytical skills

Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills

Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client

Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel

The foundation… We are seeking a qualified Benefits & Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources team. This position is responsible for administering all health and welfare plans. Assists in the design, implementation and management of cost effective and competitive Total Rewards programs, and ensures compliance of such plans with various government and benefit regulations and statutes. Serves as the subject matter expert in responding to employee questions. Core Responsibilities Benefits (80%): * Responsible for day to day administration of all health and welfare plans. * Act as first point of escalation for employees * Assist with the development of employee communication materials Manages all leave of absences and works with the disability TPA * Manages the company's wellness program * Assist in the management of the Annual Open Enrollment and Annual Health Fair * Audit and ensure timely processing and payment of all benefit invoices * Audit employee benefit deductions and make system corrections as needed * Coordinates COBRA program * Works closely with Payroll team in processing biweekly deduction wires. * Works closely with HRIS Analyst to process benefit enrollments and manage eligibility files. Compensation (20%): * Completes market surveys and monitors the quality of market pay data to support Division and Corporate needs relating to competitiveness, best practices and internal equity. * Manages monthly bonuses for HMC (mortgage company). * Assists with quarterly production bonuses The tools for success… Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3-5 years related experience with a strong emphasis on benefits. Experience: Knowledge of laws and regulations related to employee benefits (e.g., PPACA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.). Strong HRIS skills (UltiPro experience preferred). Ability to effectively communicate with employees regarding benefit plans and enrollment procedures. Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret Summary Plan Descriptions, Plan Documents, and policy and procedure manuals. Project management experience should include the managing/delivery of projects through human resources team as well as utilizing resources from other groups or departments. Project scope should have also incorporated change management and communication campaigns. Skill in: Must have the ability to work on projects and/or tasks that require strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently to formulate recommendations based on market data and best practices. Results oriented. Has demonstrated proficiency with HR Information systems (multiple-systems) and demonstrated mastery of MS Office Products (e.g. Word, Excel & PowerPoint). Make yourself at home with us!
