Explore an opportunity. As a Pension Benefits Analyst you will contribute as part of a team to provide general administration support and basic pension administration tasks. You will perform recurring plan administration services and work assignments for clients' defined benefit plans under the supervision of senior analysts and work with the client service delivery team as well as interface with clients to answer questions, resolve issues and complete projects.

Love your work. You will partner with team members on the following objectives:

  • Perform with guidance from other team members, routine and recurring plan administration tasks for clients' defined benefit plans (e.g., benefit calculations, annual data updates, assist with preparation of benefit statements)

  • Work cooperatively with other team members (Willis Towers Watson plan administrators, actuaries) to complete tasks and to ensure unified delivery of services

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the plan design (e.g., benefit formulas, options, eligibility)

  • Follow and update documentation materials as directed to maintain complete accurate work papers and audit trails

  • Learn and use Professional Excellence tools and concepts to ensure efficient and quality output/service delivery

  • Serve as a contact with clients' human resources personnel

  • Adhere to plan documents and government regulations in administering plans

  • Actively participate in team meetings and training activities

  • Be accountable to team members for agreements and commitments

The Requirements

Current college student (at least sophomore) required, preferably in a program with heavy emphasis on mathematics, statistics or Finance or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0

Solid mathematical and analytical skills

Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills

Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client

Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel

The Compensation & Benefits Analyst is responsible for administering, supporting and communicating the company’s global compensation, benefits and wellness programs. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and first level support to employees and HR team members as needed. Will also be responsible for supporting HR reporting function in SAP. Will partner closely with other Human Resources team members on compensation and benefit issues. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Supporting the U.S. HR team, serve as centralized resource for job evaluations. Utilizing external survey benchmark data, determine salary grades and tiers for new jobs and develop analysis and recommendation for job upgrade requests. Incorporate multiple survey sources into job analysis approach and develop & maintain mechanism to easily access and blend various salary data points as part of external benchmarking. Responsible for annual salary survey submissions to third-party compensation benchmarking survey providers. Support annual merit / salary planning process and short-term incentive calculations including data manipulation and audit, coordination with payroll, and development and distribution of individual employee communication. Also responsible for roll-up summary reporting. Run standard and ad-hoc reports using SAP and BW and provide analysis of data. Maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing reporting tools. Develop, analyze and report HR program metrics. Function as SAP data entry back-up in support of the China data-entry service center. Coordinate U.S. wellness programs including annual health and wellness fair, biometric screening event special promotion and marketing campaigns, maintaining monthly wellness calendar, lunch & learns, wellness education, healthy challenges and other health and fitness events. Develop wellness communication and distribute via monthly newsletter, website, wellness guide, etc. Manage and evaluate wellness program performance to ensure program success. Implement and administer other fringe benefits, such as flexible work arrangements, Voluntary Time Off (VTO) program, etc. Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the company especially within HR and with the HR partners, talent sourcing (recruiting) and all levels of leadership. Administration of various benefits programs including: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA & HSA plans, leave management and the 401(k) plan. Will function as the primary contact for benefit administration activities including policy interpretation, claims appeals, benefits eligibility, collecting documentation on qualifying events and other benefits related activities. Serve as a primary contact with benefits vendors and carriers regarding ongoing plan administration to ensure that vendor processes are in place and working properly. Maintain familiarity with provisions of existing and new federal and state laws to help determine impact on benefits plans to ensure compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Section 125 as well as plan documents, policies and procedures. Assist with online benefits administration and employee self-service sites. Oversee the audit, processing and tracking of monthly vendor and carrier billing. Working with outsourced benefits administrator, ensure benefits employee data in benefits administration portal is audited correct data that is passed to benefits carriers and that employee benefits records are in compliance with all required laws, regulations and internal policies.
