Performance Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education required

  • Preferred background with math professional development (8 High Leverage Instructional Practices & math shifts)

  • Experience teaching in the elementary general education classroom.

Description/Requirements

  • Meet the eight Iowa teaching standards and criteria.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

  • Develops and implements programming according to student needs.

  • Integrate technology to enhance student engagement and achievement.

  • Effectively design data-driven instruction and interventions.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide seamless, student-centered instruction. Builds positive relationships with parents and the community.

  • Exhibit willingness to be reflective and grow professionally.

  • Engage students and families in the program.

  • Utilize Leader in Me and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) strategies.

  • Willingness to pursue professional development opportunities.
