Position:PEMCO Business Development Representative

Job Description:

Responsible for the assessment of existing and potential customers, defining product needs, and sales execution. Continuous relationship development between the business area, regional teams and the manufacturers to ensure a trust and support of business objectives. Budget responsibility for all assigned business development areas.

Defines and tracks performance for the manufacturers products and services.

Coordinates opportunity development of both Net New as well as Existing Customers.

Relationship management with the manufacturer's regional staff in all Vertical markets.

Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions

Works independently; receives minimal guidance

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Contributes to process improvements

  • Solid work history

  • Passive/Connector/Electromechanical background strongly preferred

  • Proficiency in multiple software and applications including MS Office

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Ability to multitask and change gears quickly

  • Task disciplined/self-motivated

  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships via phone and email

  • Sales or Sales Support experience

  • Distribution experience preferred

  • 5-10% travel

  • Oracle experience preferred

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: * Primary point of contact for Business Partners to support on-time ordering, fulfillment and delivery. * Respond to telephone and email inquiries regarding Caribou Products, Services and Promotions. * Manage and support standard practices, processes and documented procedures for department. * Escalate inquiries to appropriate business owners, maintain logs and follow-up on activities. * Immediate and appropriate responses to messages, timely and accurate documentation of daily occurrences. * Actively participate in departmental meetings and development opportunities. * Prepare and distribute accurate reporting to Warehouse, Transportation, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Operations, Training and Quality Assurance. * Exercise initiative in problem solving. * Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all contacts. * Assist customers with special orders, missed order deadlines or delivery updates. * Follow guidelines for product quality issues. * Continually maintain working knowledge of products, service and promotions. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Clear written and verbal communication. * Time management. * Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. * Adhere to company policies, programs and work rules. * Maintain confidential information. * Motivated, self-directed and results driven. * Follow through with multi step projects/ procedures consistently. * Working knowledge/understanding of Microsoft Office * Willingness to learn inventory management and supply chain systems Education/Training/Experience: Required: * A High School diploma or equivalent. * At least 2 years' experience in a customer service position. Preferred: * Business Service experience for a manufacturer or consumer products company is preferred.
