PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Manage all digital user accounts for students and staff and assist with the collection and

reporting of District Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Certification

High school diploma or GED

Special Knowledge / Skills

Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records

Proficiency in the use of computers and software to develop documents,

spreadsheets and presentations (Microsoft Office and Google products)

Proficient typing, keyboarding and file maintenance skills

Ability to meet established deadlines

Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of PEIMS/TSDS rules and requirements

Knowledge of district's student information system (SIS) software

Ability to identify an issue and implement a problem-solving approach

effectively

Ability to extract data and information from various sources and combine

into usable formats

Ability to multi-task

Minimum Experience

Five years of experience in a high school or district-level position responsible for

collecting, entering and sbmitting PEIMS/TSDS data

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Records, Reports

1.Work closely with the District PEIMS & Data Quality Coordinator to

assist with the collection, integration and formatting of all data required

for PEIMS submissions according to the Texas Education Data Standards (TEDS).

2.Work cooperatively with campus, business office and personnel office staff to

collect, organize, and format data required to submit district PEIMS data in a

timely manner.

3.Run reports and verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of information.

4.Distribute edits and reports to appropriate staff for analysis, verification and correction.

5.Create and maintain all user accounts (for both students and staff) for

administrative and instructional digital software applications.

6.Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders,

students, teachers, administrators, and coworkers.

7.Maintain the District's SSO portal to ensure that rostering is functional and s

software interfaces are readily available to students and staff.

8.Produce reports for district and campus administrators as needed/requested.

Training and Technical Support

9.Provide training and support to campuses and department staff who are

responsible for processing PEIMS data.



  1. Provide training for all student information system (SIS) modules to

district, campus and department personnel.



  1. Provide guidance and support to all SIS users at the district, campus

and department levels.



  1. Develop needed professional skills appropriate to job assignments.

Other



  1. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board

of Education rule, and local board policy.



  1. Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible and

serve as a role model for district staff.



  1. Compile, maintain and file all physical and computerized reports, records

and other documents required for possible future reference.



  1. Maintain a good rapport with campus/district staff so as to project a

cooperative and positive tone from the Technology/PEIMS department

and to gain the support of all campus staff.



  1. Attend any/all meetings and training as they pertain to student information

system software, user creation and maintenance systems and protocols,

district/campus software programs, and/or PEIMS.



  1. Maintain a working knowledge of PEIMS requirements and rules with an

understanding that changes continually occur.



  1. Stay abreat of the annual version of the SAAH (Student Attendance Accounting

Handbook) and the TEDS (Texas Education Data Standards).



  1. Maintain confidentiality of information.

  2. Attendance is an essential job function.
