The Peer Tutoring Coordinator performs a range of administrative functions that support the largest of the Educational Resource Centers programs. Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director for Tutoring Services, the Peer Tutoring Coordinator addresses the daily functions of the undergraduate tutor staff including schedule management, software usage, troubleshooting log in/out records, and collaborates with the Staff Coordinator to maintain accurate payroll.

The coordinator receives and responds to a variety of student requests for services. Responsibilities include involvement in the hiring and training of new student employees, ranging from interviewing and facilitating the hiring workflow, to conducting observations and providing constructive feedback. Organizes and coordinates necessary operational components of trainings and events as determined by the Assistant Director.

The coordinator develops and maintains communications with student staff ensuring high standards of program delivery. Plays a role in data collection and reporting requirements for the academic support programs managed by the Assistant Director.

Required Skills

B.A/B.S., with 1-3 years of related experience. High level of attention to detail.

Previous experience supervising college aged students preferred. Demonstrated ability to think critically and to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and projects. Proficiency in Excel, WordPress, CSS/HTML, and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

Aptitude for working both independently and collaboratively. Strong customer service and problem solving capabilities. Cover letter is required for consideration.
