About the Team
Join our Mobile Outreach and Crisis Response (MOCR) team as a Peer Support Specialist. In this role, you will collaborate with clinicians to assist families in crisis within the community. Working directly with referrals, you will provide support, advocate for individuals, and promote resilience and stabilization through various interventions.
What You'll Do
Serve as a role model for individuals in crisis by sharing your own recovery journey, inspiring hope, and offering valuable insights.
Identify and leverage strengths and natural support systems to facilitate recovery-focused care.
Ensure accurate documentation of all interactions in the Electronic Health Record.
Conduct follow-ups with individuals involved in the MOCR program within 48 hours and provide ongoing support for up to six weeks as recommended by the clinician.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $19.23 to $24.89 per hour (Potential for up to $6,000 in incentives, with an average of $2,300)

What We Need from You
High school diploma or GED
Personal experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders and a willingness to share your journey of recovery in a supportive manner.
Successful completion of Jen Galvan's Peer Support Specialist training is required.
