Our Position

The Peer Manager position is responsible for all peer services under the direction of the Site Leader. The Peer Manager position also works closely with the medical leadership to coordinate and improve clinical care.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supervises, evaluates and provides leadership and coaching to peer services personnel, including hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination.

  • Provides supervision to staff through role modeling and coaching the techniques and practices of recovery, support and self-help.

  • Arranges coverage for Peer Support Specialist absences.

  • Works as Peer Support Specialist in a variety of capacities during staff shortages and in emergent situations.

  • Assures that the delivery of care complies with licensing regulations and accreditation standards.

  • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes as it pertains to peer services.

  • Facilitates group activities using recovery tools.

  • Completes clinical documentation as required.

  • Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.

  • Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all RI International policies and procedures as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

  • Ensures compliance with all contractual, accreditation and funding requirements for service delivery, documentation, etc.

  • Maintains positive, professional relationships with all referral sources and external vendors.

  • Works collaboratively with external entities, i.e., hospital staff, Probation, Police Departments and clinical teams.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Our Requirements

  • Successful completion of Peer Employment Training thus obtaining Certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.

  • State designation as required.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Lived experience requiring mental health and/or substance use services.

  • Ability to teach/train recovery information and recovery tools.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-time behavioral health experience.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.

  • Motivational Interviewing (within 90 days of hire)

  • Keeping Recovery Skills Alive (within 90 days of hire)

  • Trauma Informed Care (within 90 days of hire)

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Successful completion of Peer Employment Training thus obtaining Certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.

  • Must be able to pass a seven-year background check.

  • Must be able to pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculous testing (if applicable).

  • Must be able to pass education verification check.

  • Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier (if driving is required for this position).
