Position Details
Services are self-directed and person-centered with a reunification focus. Services are multi-faceted and include supervising family visits and supporting families of origin through that process, managing a Family Intervention caseload, and providing subject matter expertise to support other staff.
The Peer Family Interventionist will:
Arrange, support, and supervise family visits (in conjunction with other staff) for children and parents involved in the child welfare system.
Independently manage a Family Intervention (FI) caseload by assisting families in adherence to and completion of the state-authored FI plan.
Complete all necessary documentation associated with duties.
Promote the utilization of network and natural supports within the community.
May perform other duties, as needed.

The Peer Family Interventionist will be a self-identified individual with previous child welfare system involvement who:
Has a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
Within the last three years, has maintained at least 12 months of successful full- or part-time paid or voluntary work experience or obtained at least 24 credit hours post-secondary education.
Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
