We are seeking a Peer Family Interventionalist to join our team at our program in Wilmington, DE.

Position Details

Services are self-directed and person-centered with a reunification focus. Services are multi-faceted and include supervising family visits and supporting families of origin through that process, managing a Family Intervention caseload, and providing subject matter expertise to support other staff.

The Peer Family Interventionist will:

  • Arrange, support, and supervise family visits (in conjunction with other staff) for children and parents involved in the child welfare system.

  • Independently manage a Family Intervention (FI) caseload by assisting families in adherence to and completion of the state-authored FI plan.

  • Complete all necessary documentation associated with duties.

  • Promote the utilization of network and natural supports within the community.

  • May perform other duties, as needed.

The Peer Family Interventionist will be a self-identified individual with previous child welfare system involvement who:

  • Has a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)

  • Within the last three years, has maintained at least 12 months of successful full- or part-time paid or voluntary work experience or obtained at least 24 credit hours post-secondary education.

  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
