Southcentral Foundation provides high quality care for Alaska Native and American Indian children through an integrated model. We strive for all children to have a relationship with and access to pediatric trained specialists along with the continuity of their family's primary care provider. In this approach, the integrated pediatrician performs well-child visits at specified intervals and remains available for consultation.

Additionally, the integrated pediatrician and team manages a small cohort of children with chronic conditions. Along with the pediatrician, the integrated pediatric support team includes a dedicated nurse case manager, certified medical assistant, and case management support personnel for scheduling and administrative duties. Access to care:

Electronic health records. Comprehensive formulary with on-site integrated pharmacy support. On-campus access to multi-disciplinary team of specialists:

ENT, orthopedists, general/trauma surgeons, dental, behavioral health. Includes pediatric-specific specialists in: Neurology Surgery Cardiology Gastroenterology Infectious disease Endocrinology Nephrology Pulmonology Urology Neurodevelopment Rheumatology Anesthesiology Pharmacy Speech language pathology Physical therapy Occupational therapy Social work Dietitian Child life specialist Genetics Hematology Rehabilitation medicine Clinical benefits:

Access to a full spectrum level II trauma center, including a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) through the Alaska Native Medical Center. Utilizes and promotes SCF's Nuka System of Care to support whole family wellness, decrease duplication of services, and maximize high quality, medical care. Ability to collaborate in real time with other integrated pediatric services such as behavioral health consultants, dietitians, lactation consultants, and integrated psychiatry.

Provides training and educational opportunities to other employees to increase awareness of common pediatric conditions and disease processes. Access to pediatric subspecialists and developmental pediatricians co-located on the Alaska Native Health Campus. Consistent clinic schedules with the ability to add blocks for desk/charting time.

Licensed as a Physician in the State of Alaska. Current American Board certification specialty appropriate for the service. Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required. Employee Health Requirements:
